Chapter 50 : I Do
* 8 months later *
"I'm so, so scared like I don't know if I can do this," I let out.
My palms at each side of my body felt numb but sweaty at the same time.
I was currently standing in front of a full-body mirror with my wedding dress on, Skye was right beside me holding my bouquet.
We had about 30 minutes before I was walking down the aisle and to say I was terrified would be an understatement.
She smiled and started comforting me, "You can. You will. That man is already your husband."
"Everything just feels so official now, it's scary. I mean our whole life just got real so fast."
I looked over and nodded in the direction of the twins, they were asleep in a crib we'd brought with us to the wedding venue.
It had been my lifelong dream to get married in a castle, wear a big princess dress and marry the man of my dreams.
Before meeting Deion I was convinced that wouldn't happen, but he always made sure I got what I wanted.
We had toured actual castles but I didn't care for the interior of them, so we settled on a grand estate.
It was breathtaking, I authentically fell inlove with it at first sight.
The moment my eyes met Deion's that day we smiled and knew we had found the place to solidify our union.
Remembering all the blessings that had come along with Deion helped me snap out of my jitters, "You know what I'm ready to do this. We're going to be just fine I know it."
Skye smiled and held out the bouquet for me to grab, "You're right you guys are going to continue to be perfect together."
Grinning I replied, "You know I think you might be the best maid of honor ever."
She curtsied in a joking way, responding with a fake british accent, "Well of course my lady. Tis my duty."
Knock knock knock
"Baby can you come to the door," Deion asked from the other side.
We agreed to keep tradition by not seeing each other before the actual ceremony, but we could still talk through the door.
Skye helped lift the bottom of my dress as I stepped over to the door, "I'm here baby. I'm so excited."
I could tell he was smiling by the tone of his voice, "Me too. I'm so ready to marry you. How are the girls?"
"They're good, they ate and are napping pretty well. They might sleep through the ceremony but my mom is still going to put them in their carriers and sit them next to her."
"Sounds good, I can't wait to see you I'll meet you at the alter."
"See you soon baby."
I walked back over to the mirror and looked at my reflection one last time.
I was really a bride, a damn beautiful one at that.
