Chapter 42 : Dreams are made of this
** 3 months later **
Standing in the middle of our new living room I was looking around, mesmerized.
We had chosen and closed on a new house that we were able to call ours.
We'd only been moved in a couple of days, so I was still coming to terms with everything.
If you would've told me a year ago that I'd be 7 months pregnant with twins, helping raise a 4 year old and practically married moving into a new home I would've thought you were lying.
This wasn't what I had imagined at all, but it was much greater than what I ever wanted.
"They're gonna start moving the furniture in shortly, do you want to grab something to eat?," Deion asked, wrapping his arms snugly around my waist.
"I would actually love to go grocery shopping."
He looked back at me puzzled, "Baby we can pay someone to deliver every grocery you could think of. Grocery shopping will take us hours there's not much in here."
I smirked, "No it's okay, I like to shop for my own groceries."
"Naomi you're 32 weeks pregnant."
I knew exactly where he was getting at, he wanted me to take it easy, but I wasn't disabled and I had the energy to want to still do things for myself.
"Look babe, I am carrying twins they usually don't go past 36 weeks so I have maybe a month left max before I deliver. I just want to get as much as I can done," I explained, sitting down onto a folding chair.
His face was frowned up, it was clear he wasn't in agreement with me whatsoever despite me attempting to persuade him.
"You shouldn't be on your feet, especially not for hours in a store."
I shrugged my shoulders, "Are you going to force me to stay and not go?"
Rolling his eyes he replied, "Of course not. Let's just go if you're ready to."
Slowly I stood up and walked towards the staircase to head upstairs.
Reaching our master bedroom I paused a moment to catch my breath, those stairs were a daily challenge.
Our bed was already set up, Deion had allowed me to choose every major furniture item besides what was in his man cave.
That was beyond fair and I had no desire of bothering him while he was there.
When I would need my own space I had the garden, we had made sure it was everything I dreamed of.
Our bed was a California king-sized mattress, it sat comfortably on a tufted velvet gray rounded platform.
Alongside my side of the bed was our twin sleeper halo grey and white bassinet, patiently waiting for our girls' arrival.
They of course had a fairytale themed nursery but at night we agreed we would sleep with them in our room until they grew a bit older.
