FIVE

THE WHOLE CAR RIDE BACK ALL ARIA could think about was the night before. If these new people would even accept her and Grey into the group. She heard Rick's brief conversation with Michonne and how he wanted her to leave after she was patched up. She also witnessed the altercation between Rick and Glenn and how they were so put off about Merle, rightly so.

All she could do was think of how they'd treat the two of them. Why would they be able to stay when they were all strangers? Hostile and not willing to trust easily, everyone in the car had went through difficult situations. That Aria could tell simply by taking glances at each person. Aria could only hope Rick would let them stay for Greyson's sake.

As the car pulled into the driveway of a prison, two people instantly opened the gates for them. The Grimes man hopped out of the car quickly, hugging the boy with a hat on. Aria could only guess that had to be his son, a relation to each other somehow, by how relieved they seemed to be to see each other alive and okay.

Maggie drove the car the rest of the way up, putting it into park and turning it off quickly. Everyone slowly but surly got out of the car as a group of people came out of the prison to greet the others. Aria, Greyson and Michonne stepped to the side. They watched everyone's interactions curiously, piecing things together.

Aria watched as Greyson's face turned into a frown as he saw families together. Happy to see them alive and well. He could only feel envious and saddened by a well built group, a family, to come back to. He wished he could've had that, for himself and his mother.

Their family was beyond broken, it was like a shattered glass table with pieces drawn everywhere you couldn't put back together. Grey's eyes dropped down to the paved ground, staring at his shoes.

Aria nudged his arm, gaining his attention. "You were right." Greyson's eyebrows furrowed in confusion to what she was referring to.

The woman held a faint smile, "There is kids your age or around your age here. That blonde by Maggie and that boy with Rick, they seem close enough to your age."

Greyson looked around, a light smile growing and replacing the deep frown. He could tell his mother was trying to cheer him up, even if it was a small gesture. The teen turned to face Aria engulfing her into a hug. The woman was taken aback not expecting one but it didn't take long for her to hug him back.

"I love you. I know I don't say it a lot but i'm really glad you're still here, mom." Grey told, still giving her a hug. A sentimental moment was much needed, especially since everyone around them was having their own.

Aria's eyes closed for a moment at his words, trying to bask in the warmth and comfort she felt for a split second. She pulled away, "I love you too, don't you ever forget that."

The brunette looked up upon feeling someone stand next to them, her tense shoulders loosened as she saw Maggie and what she could assume had to be her sister. Maggie had a warm smile on her face and so did the blonde beside her.

"Why don't you guys come inside with us?" Maggie offered, her voice soft and gentle. Aria looked to Grey, he nodded and started following after making her go along too.

The four were walking towards the door that lead them inside the prison. The blonde turned her head facing Grey and Aria, "I'm Beth, it's good to see some new faces around here."
