SIXNIGHT TIME CREPT UP THROUGH THE prison windows, letting only the moonlight shine through. Nothing visible enough to the naked eye, besides silhouettes of figures due to the lack of light. The prison remained quiet, every now and again soft whispers floated through the stale air. No one came by to visit, she hadn't seen anyone in hours now.
Aria Blake found herself staring at the plain white bricked wall for hours. Nothing else occupied her line of vision for too long like the wall seemed too. She could barely make the wall out, just out of instinct she knew it was there. She found herself engrossed in her raging thoughts again, something she seemed too good at doing nowadays.
Greyson had been asleep for awhile now, hearing his soft breathing echo quietly in the room. She still sat on the bottom bunk bed, her back pressed against the wall now. The wall was cool to the touch at first sending goosebumps down her spine but now since she sat there for so long the coolness ran warm.
Aria stayed awake because of Rick's words, he was supposed to be coming into the cell that night to talk. But to no avail he still hadn't shown up, which caused the woman to grow annoyed with the man once again. She tried to be as calm as possible for Grey's sake but as time slowly ticked by she got more irritable.
As she finally decided she had enough, she moved to lay down, her eyes closing for the millionth time until she heard footsteps click against the prison floor. Aria quickly got out of her bed, she could only assume those footsteps were Rick's. The woman pressed her back against the wall beside the gated door, not being visible to the person outside her cell.
When the gated door opened, Aria took her chance. She grabbed the person by their shirt, pressing them against the wall swiftly with her forearm against their throat. As the woman's eyes adjusted to see who she had pinned, she could tell it was in fact Rick Grimes.
She kept her hold on the man, digging her forearm under his chin more. All Rick did was stare, his blue eyes glossed over with something she couldn't quite make out. Their breathing was heavy at the fast interaction, never breaking eye contact once. She deemed the man lucky she didn't feel the need to grab the knife that was in her shoe, which she thought he wasn't the smartest to not check her for weapons earlier.
"Locking us in here wasn't very nice, Rick." She whispered, not wanting to wake her son up. "I tried to work with you and be as nice as I possibly could. I helped your friends back there, I agreed to come along, I answered your stupid questions."
She paused for a moment watching as Rick didn't move, his eyebrow just raising slightly. "The fact is we got locked in here, I get you don't trust us but trust goes two ways. I don't trust you either. Especially not after this."
"If you want me to answer more of your questions I will. But I won't just stay locked in here until you feel the need to let us go. It won't work that way, we both know that Rick." Aria was confident in her words, Rick could tell. "So why don't we help each other out, okay?"
"I answer your questions, you don't lock us in here. Trust is earned and so is respect." Aria slowly let Rick go. "Deal?"
Rick didn't answer at first, just scanning the woman's features. More than likely examining her and trying to see beyond the facade she put up. She watched at the way he squinted his eyes before saying, "I'll have to think about it."
