TWENTY FIVE

MORE WALKING, ARIA BLAKE CONCLUDED the days long venture had been the most walking she had ever done in a small amount of time and that was saying a lot. Even before the fall, she wasn't overly athletic by any means. Of course, she did enjoy some athletic leisure from time to time but this had to be at the bottom of her list. The continuous walking that turned into full on sprints, running on a few hours of sleep and on the brink of dehydration she wasn't in top shape any more. And it was starting to have its effects on her.

She ached both physically and mentally. Aria wanted nothing more than to be in arms reach of her seventeen year old son again, she missed him so deeply she only found herself thinking about what she'd do once she finds him again. When she does, or if, she'd wrap him in her arms and never let go. The days away from him had been the longest the two had forcefully been apart and it was taking its toll on both mother and son.

Aria Blake even found herself thinking about another she has come to miss. Someone whom, she silently wished wasn't dead too. Rick Grimes and Aria Blake were seemingly complicated, hardened eyes and clenched jaws turned into longing stares and a certain, genuine, smile stretching along their faces. No one really expected the sudden shift in their relationship, from "enemies" to "friends". Anyone with their own two eyes could tell something was bound to happen between the two, something more than just a simple hug.

Aria couldn't help but to find herself thinking about the man and his alluring blue eyes that captivated her from the moment she met him. A feature of his she found she happened to like a lot, maybe more than she would've liked to admit. Rick and Aria were a ticking time bomb of emotions that they held for each other and it was only matter of time before they blew, and secrets were spilled between them.

Aria's grey-blue eyes found themselves watching as Daryl poured a small glass of Moonshine in a random cup for Beth. The two girls were sat opposite of each other on old yellow chairs at a small table in some trailer home they came across. One that apparently Michonne and Daryl had found previously. The woman just happy to get off her feet for a minute, letting them rest.

"That's a real first drink right there." Daryl told Beth as he placed the jar back on the table. Both adults noticing the hesitation in Beth's face. "What's the matter?"

"Nothing." Beth shook her head dismissing her thoughts. "It's just... my dad always said bad Moonshine can make you go blind."

"Ain't nothing worth seeing out there anymore anyway." Daryl replied honestly, causing Aria to look at the jar he sat down across from her.

Aria shrugged, clasping her hand around the jar before bringing it up to her lips. "Well, bad Moonshine ain't good for you but cheers!" The woman moved the jar towards Beth slightly before bringing it back to her lips and taking a drink from the jar as Beth did the same with her cup. Aria's face scrunched up, not used to the horrid taste anymore. "I forgot how bad this shit tastes."

Aria sighed, pouting a bit before muttering to herself. "Why couldn't it have been like Vodka?" She paused before thinking of something else. "What i'd give for a fruity drink right now..."

Beth's face withered in disgust. "That's the most disgusting thing i've ever tasted." She drank the rest before chuckling to herself. "Second rounds better."

"Slow down." Daryl said to the girl but she shook her head with a small smile, grabbing the jar that once was in Aria's hands. "This one's for you."
