SIXTEENARIA WATCHED AS GREYSON THREW a few items of clothing into a duffel bag, both given to him prior by whatever they had at the prison and from the runs they'd take every now and again. The woman sighed as she saw the way Grey was frustrated, keeping to himself as he aggressively shoved everything into his bag.
Aria paused her own packing, "What's wrong?"
Grey looked over at his mom, shaking his head before going back to what he was doing. Aria raised an eyebrow at him, "Are you not talking to me now?"
Greyson kept quiet not failing to make it known he wasn't going to speak. Aria scoffed, placing the last shirt she had into her own bag. Zipping the bag up and throwing it over her shoulder to carry. Her eyes went back to the teenage boy next to her in their shared cell.
"Grey, seriously what's going on?" Aria sighed again trying to get him to talk to her about what was obviously bothering him.
He paused his movement, his focus still on the clothing in his hand. "I just don't get why I can't help you guys fight them."
"You know I can shoot. I want to be able to help you and everyone else." Grey strained, his eyes pleading with Aria's.
The woman hesitated, not knowing what to say. "Grey I cant risk you getting hurt. I know you can shoot and how well your aim is. Trust me I know. If it was any other circumstance i'd let you help, but it's way too risky."
"I guess but its like no one believes I can do it. I've been able to shoot since before this even happened. I don't want anyone to think i'm not capable of doing things, especially stuff like this." Greyson's shoulders deflated slowly as he talked.
"No one thinks you aren't capable of doing anything. There's just somethings I just won't allow if it puts you directly into harms way. I won't loose you too." Aria tried to get him to comprehend the reasoning behind what the group chose was best for everyone's sake.
Grey sighed, his hand going through his grown out hair that almost came down to his eyebrows now. "You aren't going to loose me mom. But that doesn't mean I want to loose you either, you can just as easily get hurt."
Aria shrugged, a small smile making its way onto her face. "I'm not going anywhere, kid. Don't worry about me right now okay? Just make sure if anything happens when you're out in the woods, you can help Hershel and Beth and yourself. I know Carl will help you."
The boy scanned his mothers face to see if there was any hint of untruthfulness but he nodded once he couldn't find any. "Okay."
As the two were getting ready to go, Rick came by the door. Aria told Greyson to head outside and take her bag with him. Once he was out Aria walked towards the man by the door. He was leaning slightly on the door frame as he waited for her to walk out. Once she did, he was quick to make his presence known beside her.
"Are you ready?" Rick questioned, she could feel his eyes burning holes into the side of her face.
She turned her head to look at him, "Yeah, I guess so."
The woman went to keep walking but stopped as she felt Rick's calloused hand wrap around her arm. Her eyebrows scrunched in confusion as she stood there staring at the beautiful blue eyed man, which she felt completely as she took in his appearance and the way his hand still remained touching her.
