THIRTEENARIA AND CARL HAD TWO ENDS OF a pink and gray crib they just found. The two carried the crib back to where they last left Rick and Morgan alone. As the two approached they saw Rick holding two duffel bags full of supplies, taking it outside where Morgan was clearing the dead off the traps.
"Hey," Rick said upon seeing his son. "I was just about to look for you."
"Sorry." Carl replied, both hands on the bottom of the playpen.
"It's alright." Rick looked back to Morgan before Carl stepped in front of him."You're here now."
Aria's eyes caught the fresh blood stain on Rick's shoulder, her eyebrows furrowing. "What the hell happened to you?"
"Oh, it's nothing." He replied, shaking his head. Aria decided to grab the other duffel bag in his hand, putting the straps on her shoulder to carry it easier. "Thank you."
"Least I could do." Aria said, Rick following after her and Carl.
"Are we leaving him?" Aria asked, her eyes wondering over to where Morgan was. Rick shook his head yes in response. "So he's okay or..."
"No, he's not." Rick kept walking now in front of them.
"Wait." Carl said, turning his head to the man behind them. "Hey."
Rick shook his head, "Carl."
"Morgan." Carl called out causing him to stop what he was doing and look at the boy. "I had to shoot you. You know I had to, right?"
Morgan nodded, not speaking. Carl sighed, "I'm sorry."
They were about to continue their walking back to the car but halted as Morgan came closer. "Hey, son. Don't ever be sorry."
Once the trio got back to their light green colored car, leaving Morgan behind, they hurriedly packed the trunk filled with the items that got today. The sun was a few hours away from setting, giving them a little longer for daylight. She continued packing the rest up as she heard the other two start talking.
"Everything went okay with her?" Rick questioned, halfway leaning on the car.
Carl smiled, "I think she might be one of us. You should give her a chance dad."
Rick leaned his head down, taken aback by his son's answer. "What?"
"Everything went okay." Carl still smiled, a happy look present on the boys features. His blue eyes lit in contentment and fondness of the events that happened over the day.
Rick smiled, chuckling at Carl's words. He seemed genuinely relieved and glad to hear what Carl said. "Hop in. I'll throw this in the back."
As Aria grabbed the last two bags, she walked back towards the trunk. Rick seemed to be lost in space as he stared, only breaking when he saw her beside him. His eyes fixated on her.
"You okay?" Aria asked. "Not seeing anything right now are you? Or having a mid life crisis?"
"Because honestly i've been down both of those paths and don't recommend either."Aria smirked, trying to lighten the mood between them.
