SEVENARIA BLAKE SHOT UP QUICKLY WHEN she heard the cell door open. Once fast asleep after letting herself drift off finally last night, now sitting straight up on her bed watching the person walk in. She kept her eyes strained open, not wanting to wake up quite yet but forced herself to anyways. Her muscles tensed, eyes blinking to get rid of the blurring.
Her shoulders loosened up at the sight of Beth wondering in with a bright smile on her face and a tray of food in her nimble hands. Aria heard the mattress move above her, the springs cricketing, telling her Greyson was awake and moving above.
"I brought you both some food, I know you guys are probably hungry." Beth's eyes maneuvered between the mother and son before her eyes lingered on the boy. "I'm still trying to convince Rick to let y'all out but he's kind of going through a lot right now."
She watched the boy swoop his legs down, jumping off the top bunk with a smile. Grabbing the tray from the blonde. "Thank you for the food, Beth."
The girls smile widened, Aria's eyebrow raising at their interaction. She stood up slowly, etching a small thankful smile on her own face as she took a few steps to be next to them both. "What's going on with Rick?"
Beth shrugged, "I'm not too sure honestly. Ever since... um, Lori died he's been going slightly crazy."
"Who's Lori?" Greyson asked softly, the food still in his hands.
Beth was hesitant not knowing if she was really allowed to say much. "His wife."
Aria's breath hitched in her throat, her face a stoic expression. She knew what it was like to loose your partner, someone you love so deeply. The pain and grief you carry around is enough to drive anyone crazy no matter who you were.
A frown now replaced Grey's smile, "Oh."
The woman nodded her head slowly, "Where's Rick right now?"
"I think he's still outside." Beth replied. "I could see if my dad will talk to him. Rick usually listens to him."
"Okay, yeah see if that helps any." Aria took the food from Grey's hands and walked back to her bed. Siting quietly, lifting her head up to Beth who was about to walk out. "Thank you, Beth."
The girl nodded, a smile still on her brightly lit features. She turned on her heels and walked out making sure to lock the door behind her. Once she was out of sight, Grey turned and sat across from his mom on her bed.
"I feel bad for him." Greyson started earning a look from Aria as she started eating the food. "I know he locked us in here but I still feel bad for him."
Aria didn't say anything just scarfing the food down from hunger, gesturing for Grey to eat as well. He started eating, nothing but silence was heard in the small prison cell for minutes at a time. "You can't tell me you don't feel sorry for him at least."
"Grey-" Aria sighed, starting to talk before getting cut off.
He shook his head, looking down at his hands in his lap now. "You know what it feels like to loose someone like that. I can tell you know what he's going through, you can pretend not to care because you don't want to but I know deep down you do."
