ELEVEN

BEING SHOOK AWAKE AT THE CRACK of dawn wasn't something Aria Blake expected that morning. Especially when her hand reached up to punch whoever in the face out of reflex, just for her fist to be caught swiftly by a rough calloused hand. Her heartbeat raced as her eyes slowly adjusted to her surroundings coming face to face with none other than Rick Grimes.

She moved her fist out of his hand, sitting up straight on the bottom bunk bed. Her legs hanging off the side, touching the cold flooring. Her eyebrows furrowed in confusion as she stared at the man with a gun by his side, "What's going on?"

"Get up," Rick said, his eyes drifting between both of hers. He threw the gun on the bed beside her watching as her attention draws to the weapon and then back up to him. "We're going on a supply run."

"Wait, I thought you said I was going to be on watch today?" Aria questioned, highly confused with the gun now next to her and Rick's abrupt words.

"Plans changed, you'll do that some other time." Rick replied, shrugging his shoulders.

The woman stood up, looking over her shoulder at the teenage boy stirring in his sleep on the top bunk. "What about Grey? Is he coming with?"

Rick shook his head, hands going to his hips. "No, he's stayin' here." He watched the way Aria went to protest, cutting her off before anything could escape her lips. "Don't worry, i'll have Maggie and Daryl keep an eye on him."

Aria contemplated not too sure about the fact she was leaving the prison without Grey in a time where the building could get attacked at any point. She'd never forgive herself for letting anything happen to that boy, let alone if others couldn't take care of him while she was away.

"Look, do you want to prove that I can trust you or not?" Rick asked, his tone seeming to be inpatient now.

Aria sighed, "Okay fine, if this is what it takes then whatever."

"Good, we leave in an hour." Rick nods, turning on his heels to walk out of her cell. "Make sure you bring that gun and your bow with you."

"Who's all going with?" She paused, waiting to hear an answer.

Rick stopped at the door, "You, me and Carl."

The blue eyed woman didn't reply as she watched Rick leave the cell, leaving the door cracked open. Aria turned around, bending down to reach under the bed with her hand. She moved her hand around until she felt her bow, quickly grabbing it and pulling it out from underneath along with the arrow holder she had with it.

She stood up halfway, bending her back down to place the weapon onto the top of the mattress beside the gun that laid there already. She bit the inside of her cheek, thinking about the day ahead of her.

Although she was pleased about the fact she was going on a supply run and potentially getting Rick to trust her a little, she always had this lingering thought floating in the back of her mind. That something could always go wrong, like they usually did for her. She tried to shake the thought away for her own sanity.

Aria reached over the top bunk, shaking Greyson awake gently. As she did, the corners of her mouth tugged slightly. She watched as his eyes fluttered open briefly, taking in whoever woke him up. "Hey, good morning."
