June 22nd 2023 - Brooklyn - The Brooklyn Hospital Centre: Intensive Care Unit
She sat beside the bed holding his hand, she hadn't moved since she came into the room. She was still in the hospital gown they gave her the night before, still didn't have any shoes or socks on, her makeup was still slightly smeared under her eyes. She hasn't eaten, drank or spoken all day.
"Blue." Amos tried with her again. "Sofia, princess... It's time to go get some rest. You've been here since yesterday morning." She didn't look away from Sage, his hand was clutched tightly in hers. "Bluebell." I tried, her jaw clenched... She was listening to us. She just didn't want to hear it. "I know you don't want to leave him... But you've been here a long time and you haven't eaten or slept." "I can't leave him." Her throat was dry causing her words to come out like a scratched record.
The doctors put Sage in a medically induced Coma in hopes it will give his body time to heal. The overdose caused his heart to stop, Blue saved his life. She is the reason why he, although isn't breathing on his own right now, is still breathing. If she didn't find him and knew what to do he wouldn't be here. "The doctors said he's stable." Amos spoke, she began to shake her head. If she got some rest she'd be able to deal with this situation in a rational headspace, right now she is still in fight or flight response. She hasn't come down from finding Sage and she wouldn't until she got some rest and reset. We all knew that but she wouldn't leave her brother.
"I know it's scary. I know you probably blame yourself. You think if you stay with him now it'll make up for everything. But baby, you didn't do anything wrong. This isn't your fault. I hate to be the one to tell you this but no matter how involved you were in Sage's life he'd still have ended up here. You probably would have been too." I told her. "Leaving to go get some rest like your dad and mum has isn't going to change anything." "He. Needs. Me." "I understand that he does need you, but he needs you well rested with a clear head. He needs you to not blame yourself and get yourself in that dark place." Amos gently untangled her hand from Sage's. I take her hand in replace of Sage's. "Let's get you home, okay?" She stood from the chair she had been glued too for over 24 hours now. I took her to the little sofa in the room and picked up my long coat resting it over her shoulders. Her dad slid her feet into her shoes he had picked up for her. Getting her changed right now would have been too much of a task. My coat would keep her warm and it was summer so it wasn't exactly cold out anymore... She felt cold though.
I take her to my car and buckle her in, "My place?" She nodded, I pecked her cheek before closing the car door and getting in the driver's side. I drove us to my place. I had hoped she'd sleep a little on the way but she didn't. She sat cracking her knuckles and staring off out of the window she had her head resting on. We go to the apartment without another word. I couldn't find the words to comfort her, to assure her this would all be okay. I didn't even know if it would be okay.

June 22nd 2023 - New York City - Mary-Kate's Apartment
Blue fell asleep after she ate a slice of toast, it wasn't much but it was something. She had been asleep for a few hours and I've been getting a few of our things together to take with us to the hospital. It was hard enough to get Blue to leave the first time, I doubt she'd be willing to leave Sage again. At least if I go prepared she can shower and have something comfortable to wear. Work was out of the question this week, maybe until Sage was better for her. I couldn't leave her like this so Ashley was picking up the slack at work. Her biggest concern no longer being the upcoming fashion shows, it was Blue and how she was doing so she didn't care that we weren't there.
"Tiny?" "I'm here." I say kneeling so she could see me at the end of the bed. I was sitting on the floor packing our bags. Her eyes were swollen from all the tears she shed and her lips a little cracked from dehydration. I offered her a small smile which she returned. "What you doing?" She asked. "Getting us some stuff together." She nodded and ran a hand through her slightly knotted hair. "Has anyone called?" I shake my head. "Your dad messaged me saying Sage is still stable around an hour ago." She nodded again. "Can we stop for food on the way to the hospital? I want to make sure Mami and Papi eat." "Just focus on you for now." I told her. I didn't want her to burn out. She already was circling the drain right now.
