Mabel's POV

Ikoyi, Lagos.

Stepping on the pedal, the car accelerated in full speed. I had a busy night so all I wanted was to go home, freshen up and crash. Driving roughly, my car screeched at every hard turn I made to maneuver cars. I never stepped on the brakes.

Loosening up, I opened the sunroof of my car. The bright sun streamed through, heating up my skin. The cool breeze swept over me, picking up my hair.

"Whoops!" I screamed in excitement, pushing my wig away from my face as I turned on the music to the highest volume.

Speeding up, I threw on my sunglasses and took a gulp from the whiskey bottle.

"Majo monalisa, Majo monalisa..." I chirped, moving my hips in my seat.

I rolled over so many cars, manoeuvring my way through the traffic. At all times I disregarded the traffic lights, it was none of my business.

"Odogwu you bad... Ye kpakulukule, Ye kpakulukule...."

I bobbed my head to the rhythm of the music, singing along.

Of course, I knew I was going to trend but I worried less because my dad would take care of it.

My phone rang, interrupting the music. I glanced at the phone which was on the dashboard and I saw it was my mom who was calling. Hissing loudly, I ignored the call. My mother knew how to ruin a good moment.

Chugging down the whole bottle, I groaned in disappointment realizing that the bottle was empty. Angrily, I tossed the bottle to the backseat.

The sound of siren blaring made me look to my rearview mirror. Three police vehicles were hot on my tail, catching up to me.

"Shit!" I gritted my teeth.

They did come late though.

Smirking wickedly, I gripped the steering wheel tighter, ready to show off my skills.

"Come and get me baby!" Stepping harder on the pedal, I pulled in front of a Honda jeep, that was a tight move so my car screeched.

They came after me again and I pulled in front of another car, slightly scratching the body of the car, because it was too close.

"Sorry!? " I shrugged and spared the driver of the car a glance. I cared less about his expression and as I decided to keep going, I crashed his mirror. I mean, I crashed it really bad that it came of. I could see his infuriation through the mirror as his own siren began to blare.

The road was free so I sped up again. Taking a quick glance behind, they were still after me.

Reaching the intersection, I turned left sharp hoping they won't spot me in the fleet of cars. Actually, that was impossible, my car was a red sports car, a Ferrari brand. Most of the cars here were black.

Managing to scale through I got to a T-junction. At this point, the traffic light was at red which meant that we had to stop. Those who were supposed to go in front of us, also stopped. Immediately, I saw their light change to green. I moved.

I zoomed off in a very calculated move because immediately I crossed over, the other cars started to move.

Laughing wickedly when I saw that they didn't cross over with me, I sighed in relief. Of course, they didn't see that coming. Those on the other side were still stuck, in the traffic.

I scoffed, then I smirked balancing my hands on the steering.

"Catch me, if you can." I dared, feeling very proud of myself. Well, that was a
dangerous move but then it was calculated.
