Mabel's POV

When I stormed out of Ada's office, I rushed into my car, driving off on full speed. I was angry, I had questions and I couldn't wait. So my plan was to storm into his office and throw my questions at him.

My sunglasses came off, so I could get a clearer view as I scrutinized the edifice that stood right on front of me. This building would be at least thirty floors tall. My father is rich but his wealth is not even half of the Johnson's, that was a really painful fact to admit. The building stood out, not just because of it's architecture but the bold white letters 'Royal Star Towers' on the glass walls of the building, one could never miss it.

After a deep breath, I waltzed into the building; that was after I concluded that I had had my fair share of taking in the massive building.

All eyes fell on me. Goosebumps lined my skins as I suddenly became conscious of myself. I whipped my face up, arching my shoulders to accentuate my chest. I already had the poise, I walked like a Queen, announcing myself with every step I took. I drowned in my own perfume, everyone spared me a glance probably asking questions of who I was in their heads.

I knew it was my flashy jacket and Red leather sass boots.

"What floor can I find Jason Johnson?"

The first lady at the front desk who had a friendly demeanor flashed me a smile. The other one pretended to be busy with a file once she saw me.

"It's the thirty eighth floor ma'am. But do you have an appointment?"

She hadn't realised it yet but before she finished I was already on my way to the elevator. I found two and I stepped into the one for VIP's.

The elevator chimed and I stepped out. First thing I saw was a very beautiful light skinned lady who sat behind a desk, adjacent to an office. I took a closer look and the signpost on the door read, 'vice president'. My pace quickened, as my legs carried me to the office.

"Good morning ma." She smiled at me.

I eyed her, giving her a condescending look. She was even more beautiful now that I took a closer look. Is she the woman he loves?

"Swallow your greeting!" I spat.

"Ma?" She whispered.

I scoffed. "Now she's deaf."

The lady swallowed hard, looking down in embarrassment.

The sound of my throat clearing made her look up at me through her lashes. I had planted fear in her already.

"I'm looking for Jason..."

"This is his office, but I'm...I'm sorry you can't go in ma." She even stuttered.

He really needs to change this girl her confidence level is so low.

I can't go in. I can't go in.

Loud boisterous laughter escaped my lungs. It was a wicked laugh laced with sarcasm, a laugh that I had bottled up all day.

"What did you say?" I turned to her, still in amidst my laughter. I could really use her to take out my anger right now!

"I said you can't...." Her soft voice broke as her body shook.

I held up my left hand, having a proud look on my face. "You see this." I watched her gaze land and stay on my finger. "Ring!" I pointed my right index to the diamond band on my left finger. "I'm his wife!" I snarled, and she flinched as if she could feel my hot breath from where she sat. "W-i-f-e, wife!" I spelt it out, releasing a huff.
