The door opens and I turn around to find my human Android bringing a list to me. "Mirae, Mom says to bring these from the mart." 

"Gen-II, I don't want to go out-"
"Tell her that she's been inside the house for a week so instead of ordering, she has to go." She plays mom's voice recording.

(Gen-II in Korean is pronounced as Jenny or Gen-E. So you can read it like that.)

"Argh!!! Fine! Is dad here?" I asked and she blinks twice signalling that he is. "Will you join me?" I ask and she blinks twice again.

I smile and grab my hoodie. I wear it over my t-shirt and jeans. I walk towards my door and get downstairs, sparing a glance at my parents playing a VR game on the giant screen.

I sigh and shake my head before opening the door and walking out. I squeeze my eyes when the sunlight hit my face and I turn to look at Gen-II looking in the front.

"I look like a vampire. Don't you think, my daughter?" I asked her and she smiled at me. "Yes, Mommy. You are as beautiful as a vampire."

I chuckled at her passing the vibe check and started walking towards the closest store in our locality.

I looked at the robots playing with some of the children in the park and smiled. "Gen-II, check if the files have been transferred into my phone."

"99% completed . . . 5 minutes more." She said in a mechanical tone. I fixed my glasses and put my hoodie on before putting my hands inside my pocket and walking.

We reached the store and the automated doors slid open when I stood in the entrance. I reached out my hand and looked at Gen-II. "Read out the items or pass me the list."

Gen-II passed the list to me and I took it from her and took the automated shopping cart. It followed us as I collected the items and put them inside the cart.

After a while, as we finished shopping, I pressed the button on the shopping cart and it covered itself like a box.

And just like scanning machines scan objects using light, the shopping cart was scanning the barcodes of the items I took and I returned the list to Gen-II.

I turned and looked at the shopping cart cover slowly opening with our things already inside two paper bags and the total amount mentioned on the mini screen.

I took out my money card and pressed it over the screen. And it automatically checked us out. Gen-II being a smart robo picked up the bags and I followed her to the exit.

Oh, did I mention? We don't use cash or coins anymore. It's digital money. We have money cards or transfer money digitally. 3029 things.

I took out my phone reading through the articles. Some science articles mostly since it interests me when Gen-II was walking in front of me.

I saw the files transferred into my phone and I smiled while fixing my glasses again. I clicked on the files and it started processing quickly. The app started loading while I was walking.

I didn't quite care about the surroundings when I bumped into something hard. I turned around to see a human android, but his eyes lenses are red.

I frowned at the view but it turned around leaving the place. I rolled my eyes and turned back to see Gen-II stopped walking and turned to look at me at a distance.

I smiled and clicked on the app that was ready. "Mom is calling." Gen-II said and I nodded. I locked my phone and placed it inside my pocket.

Gen-II projected my mom's face on a virtual screen in front of me. FaceTime but on the next level. "Hello mom! I'll be back. On my way." I said, Gen-II transmitting my message to her.

"Okay, darling. Dad made an omelette. Come quickly!" She said and showed dad flipping the omelette in the pan.

I chuckled and nodded. "Come quick, bubble. I'll give you a taste!" My dad said and I smiled.

"I'm coming—"
