9: Bewildering 🔀

I smiled and looked over at the guy. "We still have a chance to win, Taehyung!" I said and ran over to him.

"This is the girl. Right, baby?" The guy asked and the same rock girl stood beside him with a smirk on his lips. "That's right, darling."

My jaws dropped and I screamed in panic. "What?"

"This girl is looking for someone with a rock!" She said to the guy who chuckled. "Rock?"

He scoffed and looked at Taehyung and me. "Rock and rock . . . That means both of them are . . ."

I tightly pressed the card close to my chest and looked at the evil couple in front of us. Jimin and Jungkook passing me concerned looks behind them.

"Paper and paper!" The evil couple yelled together while grinning.

"Bitch!" I heard the tall jet black hair guy mumbling while his peppery haired friend was glaring at the rock girl. They must have understood the situation somehow.

"We have been deceived, Taehyung!" I screamed while looking at the couple and turned to Taehyung. He looked at me blankly when I teared up.

"Taehyung," I said and pointed to the rock girl, "that woman told me that she'd give me information."

Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows and looked back in the front with sad eyes. "That means it is the end for us, partner?"

"Oh, just come on! Let's end this." The guy said, rolling his eyes. "No way! Do you think we are going to fight a battle where we know we are going to lose?" I barked at them.

"You promised me, damn it!" The girl snarled. I cried more and heard Taehyung sigh beside me. I looked at him with my teary eyes.

"I'll go," he said and my eyes widened when he continued, "you promised her after all." I hung my head low in guilt. "Taehyung, sorry."

"So beautiful, isn't it? Now come over and play! Please, lose in a beautiful way too!" He said and they chuckled while everyone was watching us.

Taehyung took his hands out of his pocket. The flash card in his right hand and slowly started walking towards the table.

I cried hard and covered my face with my hands, still holding the paper flash card in my hand. I felt someone's hand stroking my hair and I looked up to see the peppery haired guy trying to calm me down.

He gave me a small smile and I looked over at the table. "One last round!" The guy said and Taehyung was looking at him blankly.

"What card do you have I wonder!" The guy said sarcastically, holding the 18 cards in his hand. The rock girl gave him her card as well, making it 19 cards.

Meaning that they will win as they get Taehyung's card.

I bit my lower lip and watched in front of me. "I wonder which card I should play?" The guy said sarcastically with a smirk on his lips, trying to drag this game even after knowing Taehyung's flash card.

"Paper! Paper! I have a feeling that it is paper!" The guy said again, getting on my nerves.

I shouldn't have said it to her. She got to know that both of us have paper looking at my desperation for rock cards.

I am an idiot.

We will lose now!

So what happens now?

It's all over.

"Should I play scissors?" The guy said again. "Just play, you fucker!" Jungkook yelled and Jimin calmed him down.

The guy smirked and raised his card high up in the air but Taehyung held it close to his chest, staring at him blankly. "Gawi-bawi-bo!"

The guy slammed his card on the table but Taehyung took his own sweet time before calmly keeping his card on the table.

"What the fuck!" The guy said in shock, looking at Taehyung's flash card. My eyes widened as well.

Rock card?

“Taehyung wins!”

The guy and the girl gaped at the card.  The host took all of the other 18 cards from his hand, took the two cards on the table and passed out to Taehyung.

I was still in shock.

My mouth still opened.

Feels like I'm frozen!

Taehyung smiled and took the cards from the host before looking back at me. "Partner, I won!"

The guy glared at the rock girl. "It was a rock! What is the meaning of this, you stanky bitch!" The girl glared at me, pointing her finger at me.

The guy turned to me, approaching me with heavy steps. As if he'll bite me.

"I-I mean . . . he said that it was a paper." I said looking over at Taehyung who smiled at me before saying.

"I didn't show you my card, did I, partner?"
