27: Borderline 🔲

Jungkook's POV

I looked at Mirae sitting in front of my laptop with Yoongi beside her. She gave us a thumbs up and I smiled at her.

Namjoon and Jin came to us. Eventually Taehyung and Jimin entered the hall and I stood up from the table and fixed the straps of my bag.

"You all ready?" Jimin asked and we nodded. "Where's Hobi?" I asked when we saw Hobi coming to us holding a huge bag.

He smiled at us before walking past us, out of the door. "We will stay connected. Alright, sweetie?" Jimin said and she nodded.

Taehyung went to her before patting her head and she glared at him before taking his hand off her head. "Keep things in control, partner."

"Take care, Mirae." Namjoon said and I watched Jin scoff and exit the room. Jimin followed behind and then Namjoon. "Taehyung?" I called and he nodded before walking out, taking a last glance at Mirae.

I turned back to look at her. She smiled and winked at me. I flashed her a wide smile as well and then blew her a kiss before closing the door.

I panted heavily while walking in the forest, bending down to hold my knees to catch my breath. I looked at others walking fine and but what's wrong with me?

I slapped myself and stood straight following them. "Guys, are you fine?" I heard Mirae through Hobi's transmitter that was connected to Yoongi.

"I'm dying!" I said and sat down. Jimin laughter in front but he sat beside me.  "We should rest. Or else my boyfriend will lose his life."

Jin laughed and sat with us. Hobi passing a bottle to Jimin. He walked away from us. Trying to locate things. Namjoon was trying to look around when Taehyung said. "Look at this."

I stood up, keeping the bag on the ground and all of us went towards Taehyung who was standing at the edge of a hill. My eyes widened.

Most of the houses in the city were destroyed. The huge buildings were covered with green algae.

No sign of life.

Not even a bird is flying in the sky. No airplanes, cars. Nothing.

As if only the six of us are staying in this world.

"Are you sure we are living in a world?" Jin asked and I looked at him.

"This looks like there's an apocalypse over here. What just happened?" I asked.

"We cannot escape from here. We are surrounded." Taehyung said and Jimin passed him a questioning gaze. "How are you so sure?"

Taehyung took out a candy from his pocket and tossed it from the cliff. Instantly, a red laser beamed through it, burning it into black charcoal.

All of us gasped when millions of red lasers were exposed in front of our eyes surrounding the hill and it vanished in seconds as well.

As if it was activated because we threw in the candy but then became invisible instantly.

"This looks like a city that is bounded by this hill. If we try to cross this hill, we will get fried by the laser." Taehyung pointed out.

When Namjoon scoffed. "Why don't you use your big brain to get us out at well, Taehyung?"

Taehyung looked at him calmly, tilting his head. "I thought you were the smart guy."

"Oh, yeah? Then what are you trying to do here? Trying to impress your lover?" Namjoon said.

"Why? Are you jealous that Mirae chose me over you?" Taehyung said with a smirk and that's all it took for Namjoon to lunge at him.

He punched his face but Taehyung was smiling without protesting him, taking the hits. Jimin ran towards Taehyung while Jin and I tackled Namjoon down.

"Let me go! This guy keeps on challenging me!" Namjoon barked, trying to free himself from us.

Taehyung chuckled and shook his head while Jimin was helping him to stand. "Love someone who loves you back, Namjoon. Look around you!" Taehyung said, looking at Namjoon and then at Jin.

Namjoon was shut up immediately when we saw Hobi running to us. "Guys, It's Yoongi! It's an emergency!"

Our eyes bulged when Hobi clicked his temple to project Yoongi's message with the CCTV recording.

We saw Mirae looking at the laptop monitoring Hobi's vision when suddenly there was a loud blast. And dark smoke covered Yoongi's vision that recorded Mirae and then we heard Yoongi's voice.

"Guys, our house was charged with a blaster and now I can't find Mirae."
