I called Nova multiple times and each time it went to voicemail.
So I did what any rational best friend would do, I stole Cole's phone. Not stole... Borrowed. He just didn't know I had taken.
Of course I would return it back downstairs to him before he noticed.
One of the perks of having your brother's friends always around.
"What is Cole?"
"Nova?" I said quietly.
"Evie? Why do have Cole's phone?"
"I stole it to talk to you."
She chuckled. "Of course you did."
"I'm really sorry!"
"It's all good. I shouldn't have pushed. I mean it's your choice to tell him. I'll see soon alright."
"Why don't you come over."
"Can't my evil cousins are here."
"The hot ones?"
"Ev none of them are hot." She laughed.
"Well not to. They are your cousins."
I heard a knock on my window and I looked to see a wet Zach?
"Nov... I gotta go. I'll call you later?"
"You okay?"
"Yeah. Just bye."
"Bye?"
I went to the window and opened it as the rain sprayed into my room.
"Zach? What are you doing?" I looked at him and realized he was only boxers?
"A bet."
"So you came to my bedroom?"
"Trust me the other rooms were locked and I knew you wouldn't miss opening the window to me."
I cocked my eyebrow as I smirked "Cocky much? Well have fun in the rain." I said going to close the window.
"WAIT! Wait!" He said it started to rain harder and he looked at me. "Can I come in?"
"No. Bye." I went to close the window as he jumped in. "Or just jump in."
He gave me a dry look. "What great hospitality you have."
The best. Isn't it?" So I need an explanation to why you are here?"
"First close to the door. They can't know I'm back in the house."
I shook my head as I shut the door and turned around to see him right behind me.
"Zach."
"You wanna explanation? So here it is. I got dared to do something which is irreverent. And I didn't win so your idiot brother decided that I had to run around in the rain in my boxers and when I tried to get into the house they locked the door."
"Right." I said as I opened the door.
"Wait Evie."
"Hmm?"
"You want to help me in my revenge plot?"
I shook my head. "Dragging me into your mess?"
"Well we were an unstoppable team when we were younger."
"I'll get the water guns."
He grinned. "That's my girl!"
I turned away as a grin lit up my face and I couldn't stop the butterflies that formed in my stomach.
I walked toward the garage and grabbed two of the water guns and avoided the rec room where Cole, Seth and Zach where hanging out.
I made my way to my room as someone pulled me into the bathroom.
"Zach!" I shrieked
"Shh!! Hand me the guns." I handed them to him. "The return of the dream team."
I laughed. "Sounds like a cheesy action movie."
He shook his head as he filled up one of the guns. "Hey can borrow one of Joe's sweats?"
"Right! I'll go get them."
"That'll be helpful."
I snuck into Zach room and pulled his sweats and went back to the bathroom and handed it to Zach. He handed me the gun as we made our way downstairs.
We made our way to the rec room as Zach opened the door and we ran in and the boys started spraying me?
I stood there stunned as I tried to defend myself from the 3 boys.
Eventually my gun ran out of water and as I tried to escape the room. One of the boys trapped me in their arms.
"Evie. How are you doing today?" Seth said with a smirk.
"How do you think I'm doing Seth?"
"I think your a little wet...and darn Zach won his bet!"
I narrowed my eyes. "What is up with guys and their bets?" I muttered.
I pulled myself out of Seth's grip as I walked towards the door as the boys laughed.
I walked towards the stairs as I heard someone following me.
Zach.
"Hey! No hard feelings right?"
"No hard feelings."
A/N: One year and I still miss you... And those adorable green eyes and that smile, it still gives me butterflies
