Hospitals had never been a favorite place of mine. But I sucked to up for Zach.

I was grabbing my stuff to go visit him right now. But before I could Joe stopped me.

"Are you going to see Zach before school?"

"Yes"

"I need to see him. I'll come with!"

I shrugged and sighed. "Alright." I wanted to be alone with him but I guess that wasn't going to happen.

"In fact I think all the guys would want to see him."

"Sure." I sighed. "Maybe... I'll wait another day. After all you boys should go see him."

Joe smiled. "Thanks sis. Anyway you should head off to school."

I nodded as I looked at the time. "I should head off to the bus."

He nodded as he was got on the phone with his friends.

I walked out into the crisp breeze and looked out at the leaves and realized how much time I had spent with Zach. I hadn't had time for myself. I hadn't been with my friends. I hadn't concentrated on myself.

The bus screeched in front of me as I got on and looked for a seat and realized how packed it was with all the freshman and sophomores.

I walked towards the back and sat in one of the only empty seats. Everyone seemed tuned out in with their headphones listening to music, texting, they were all zoned out.

The bus stopped once again and someone got in. He walked towards the back and stopped right before me. He looked and I slid to the side and he sat down.

No words were exchanged.

But I couldn't help but look at him and he looked back and raised his eyebrows.

"Can I help you?" He said.

"Uh..well um..no."

He gave me a weird look. "Alright."

There was no explanation as to why but something about him was different. Something that made me feel like there was a possible connection.

Get those thoughts out Evie.. You have Zach.

But did I really?
