Her:30

"Evie! Let's go!" Nova yelled. "We're already late!"

"One second where's my phone?" I said confused.

Nova groaned and yelled. "I'm calling it right now." I didn't it hear it ring.

I shook it off. "It's here somewhere." I said pushing everything aside.

"Evie. We are late. Let's go! If your phone's here I'll bring it to you! It's probably in your room."She pulled me toward the door and looked at me. "Everything's going to be okay."

"What if he wants to break up?" I said quietly.

"Let him. It's his loss, not yours. You don't know how badly I want to go kick him in his balls for saying what he did."

I laughed. "Thanks Nov."

"Get in the car. He's probably looking for you everywhere."

I smiled slightly. "Showtime."

"Evie.. Have you thought how your gonna keep this from Joe?" She said as we got into the car.

I gave her a sad smile. "Not entirely but the truth has a way of coming out, eventually."

"Well I think he'd prefer to hear it form you verses hearing it from someone else."

Nova had a point. "But what if he.."

"Evelyn if you love Zach then don't let him come between you two."

"But I don't want to come between them."

"Evie follow your heart and see what plays out.. Who knows maybe it'll work?"

I sighed. And maybe it won't.

We arrived and the party was in full swing. We would have to clean up so much. I shook my head as I made my way inside.

As soon as I walked in. Seth grabbed my arm. "You."

"What?" I said confused.

He faltered before going through to the kitchen. "Need to go see how amazing the backyard looks." He said leading me back towards the front door.

"Wait? Seth why don't we use the back door?"

"Because..." He stopped to think which made me suspicious. What was he hiding? "Because! There's a hug spill in there."

"Seth? Where's Zach?"

"Zach? He's around here somewhere." He said with a nervous chuckle.

"Seth let me go into the kitchen... If there was a spill why are people still going in there?"

"Well you see... They are stupid and hey don't know."

"Let me go Seth." I said fiercely.

"Letting you go would require me to get possibly killed by certain people."

"J.." He covered my mouth and dragged me outside.

"Wait Ev. Wait." He held up his hand. "Zach? Yes I found her. And yes it's time."

I heard the music turn off and I heard the noise go down and Zach's voice filled the speaker system.

"I have an announcement." He said as Seth led me back into the house. I pushed past people trying to get to him. "Earlier this year. I was looking for a girl. A specific girl. And I found her. Well I found her a little while ago. And this little plan was formulated right now. I want you all to know who she is and hope her brother doesn't kill me right now."

I held my breath as Joe came up on stage and looked at Zach. He took the microphone. "I'm not an idiot Zach. And I'm fine with it."

People were starting to catch on as people looked at me and started pushing me forward.

Joe gave me a smile and Zach beamed. "I present to you my princess, my one and only. Evelyn Snow." And with that i knew that no matter what the future held for us, we would have each other. And that's all that mattered.
