- Wednesday's Child is Full of Woe -
1x1

The festival is booming with life. Teenagers, families, children, even some older people are walking around enjoying their night full of fattening foods and money swallowing carnival games.

Vada is standing with Wednesday and Enid, watching Tyler and his father argue, probably over the Nevermore student population. "Are you sure you can trust this normie?" Enid questions softly, looking at Wednesday. She remains deadpanning, her eyes trained on Tyler.

"I trust that I can handle myself." Wednesday responds. Vada looks at Tyler, watching his father give the boy stipulations. The sheriff looks over at Vada and Wednesday. His eyes remain on Vada for a moment longer than necessary before he turns back to Tyler. Vada steps up slightly, wanting to be within ear shot like the other girls.

"I don't want you talking to either of those girls and I want you home by 12." The sheriff points his finger at Tyler.

The teen furrows his brows. "1:00." He tries. "12:30" The sheriff responds dismissively, walking on to his truck. Tyler looks slightly defeated but doesn't watch his father walk away for long.

"Well, good luck and safe travels." Enid turns to Wednesday, putting her arms out for a hug. The girl moves away once more and Enid lowers her arms to her sides. "Still not a hugger, got it." She says before looking at Vada. "Vada.. say bye to our roommate.." She urges.

Vada sighs and stands up straight from her leaning position against a light pole. She looks at Wednesday with little to no emotion, almost mirroring the girl. "I'll sleep better knowing your not standing over me with a knife." She says simply. Wednesday almost smiles at the thought. "Perhaps I should've inspired to do so before we came here." She responds.

Vada simply nods and glances at Principal Weems. "If you even get out of here. Principal Weems never loses sight of her target." She informs as Wednesday moves to look at the woman sitting on a picnic table, a cup of coffee between her hands as her eyes stay trained on the two girls.

Vada walks away, heading to a food stand, buying herself a small slushie as she uses the spoon end of the straw to scoop a bit of the flavored ice into her mouth. She prefers snowcones but that stand is shut down at the moment.

"Hey.. Nevermore girl." A voice is behind her. Vada jumps slightly and turns, the end of her straw now being held outwards as if it could be used as a weapon.

Tyler is standing there, a small smile on his lips as he puts his hands up in surrender. "Didn't mean to scare you." He says. Vada furrows her brows quickly. "You didn't scare me. You startled me. There is a vast difference between the two." She informs lowly.

Tyler raises an eyebrow. "Right.. Yeah, sorry. I uh.. just wanted to uh... I never caught your name? At the Weathervane." He says softly.

Vada puts her straw back into the cup her slushie is slowly melting inside of. She takes a sip, thinking to herself carefully. "Vada." She says simply. "Why?"

Tyler shrugs. "I just.. I know Wednesday's name but you never told me yours is all.. speaking of Wednesday.. where is she?" He takes a quick glance around.

"She's trying to lose Principal Weems. She's been assigned to watch both Wednesday and I in case we decide to reek havoc on all you unsuspecting normies." Vada explains. The boy in front of her slowly nods. "You are a ball of sunshine.. aren't you?"
