Just when Enid and Vada had finally thought the night was done and Wednesday had given up, a note was slid under the door. Vada sits up as Wednesday walks to the note and picks it up.

"Maybe Goody answered you after all." Vada shrugs as she watches the girl read it.

"I doubt she communicates in magazine cut outs." Wednesday informs, showing the girls the note.

'IF YOU WANT ANSWERS, MEET INSIDE CRACKSTONE'S CRYPT. MIDNIGHT'

Vada smiles. "Oooh, what if it's a psycho killer?" She asks excitedly.

"I wish." Wednesday admits. "It's probably someone with hardly any information."

"Well, we should probably go anyways. In case it's real." Vada sits up and puts on her jacket. The girls get ready and head to Crackstone's Crypt.

Enid walks behind the two girls, looking around with her flashlight. There's a creak behind her as she gasps and lifts her hand, extracting her claws in fear.

"You insisted in coming along, Enid." Wednesday informs softly. She turns back to the crypt and opens the door slowly.

Vada looks around. It's pitch black inside of the crypt. Nothing but a small bit of moonlight coming in from the top.

"It's empty." Wednesday furrows her brows in confusion.

Vada squints as she looks around, eyes glowing red as she tries to use her powers to hear. Several heartbeats are close and she tenses up.

Several flashlights turn on as people come from behind the tomb area. Vada steps forward, eyes glowing as she clenches her fists. "Don't even try it or i'll-" She realizes it's just Xavier and a few other friends of theirs.

"Surprise!" They all say happily as they walk over with a birthday cake for Wednesday.

Vada's eyes slowly return to their normal color as she moves out of the way, watching as they sang happy birthday to the girl, presenting her with a cake with the grim reaper on it.

Wednesday stares at them before looking at the cake. "I'm not a fan of cake.. but thank you for the gesture." She says softly.

"We almost died. Did you see Vada? Dude, your eyes are so scary at night!" Ajax says.

Vada glares slightly. "It was because I heard your heartbeats, nimrod." She informs.

Wednesday turns away, pointing her flashlight at a saying carved into the wall. "It's latin... Fire will rain... when I rise." She reads. "The first part of that was burnt into Nevermore's lawn. It can't be a coincidence."

Wednesday reaches out and touches the words before falling back into a vision. Vada barely catches her as Enid rushes over to help. "Is she okay?"

"She's fine, she'll be back in a minute." Vada promises and holds the girl gently, waiting.

*******

Ever since having a vision, Wednesday had stayed extra quiet. She is sitting at her desk, drawing what looks to be a gate of sorts.

Vada is sitting on her bed, texting Tyler about their date tonight. They have both agreed to go somewhere quiet and peaceful, nothing public yet.

"Alright listen, I never got to give Wednesday my present!" Enid declares as she walks into the dorm holding two black gifts. "I have one for Vada too because it's a roommate thing."

Wednesday looks at her before opening her gift as Vada does too.

"What is this, Enid?" Wednesday asks.

"It's a snood silly." Enid grins. "I have one too!" She holds up a pink knitted one.

Wednesday looks at her black one with soft eyes as Vada had gotten a dark blood red one.

"I actually love it, Enid. Thank you." Vada says and stands up, opening her arms.

"Oh my god! Are we doing this? Hugging?!" Enid practically jumps into the girl's arms and hugs Vada tightly. Vada rolls her eyes and pat her back.

"I was thinking we could wear these to class tomorrow." Enid informs.

"Oh, Enid. This is far too unique to wear to something like class." Wednesday explains. "I suggest we wait for a special occasion."

"Right! Of course!" Enid grinned.

With that, the girls head to the yards to enjoy their daily activities since class was canceled for the day.

Wednesday walks over. "Want to go visit Eugene?"

"I'd like that, thank you." Vada nods and follows the girl on the walking trail to Nevermore. They stay silent before Wednesday finally speaks up.

"Did you really like the gift Enid got us?"

"Oh, no. It's the most hideous thing i've ever seen in my life. But, it's a symbol of her roommate love for us and I will wear it everyday if I have to, just to make her happy." Vada admits.

"Same. I hope she doesn't hold us to it, though." Wednesday jokes slightly.

"You know Enid, she will." Vada promises.

The girls walk into the hospital and sit beside Eugene's bed. Wednesday talks about everything that's went on in their lives, including her birthday surprise.

Vada stays silent and looks at the condition her friend is in. It breaks her heart and not in a good way.

Someone clears their throat and both girls look up to see Dr Kinbott holding flowers. She smiles. "I haven't seen you two in a few days."

"What brings you here?" Wednesday stands and looks at the woman.

"Eugene's moms, i'm working with them. Trauma like this can leave emotional scars on the family. They had to go home for a few days and I promised them I would check in on him." She informs. She puts the flowers in a vase and fills it with water.

"Whose Goody?" The woman asks as Wednesday freezes up slightly.

"A distant cousin to Wednesday." Vada covers.

"Seems she doesn't know who you really are." Kinbott says.

"She knows more than you." Wednesday says. "And Im still just as heartless and cold as the first day we met." She adds.

"I don't think someone heartless and cold would be sitting at her friend's bedside feeling guilt for his condition." Kinbott says calmly.

"I didn't ask for a free session." Wednesday snaps.

"Consider it a birthday gift." The woman smiles as Wednesday walks out.

"She's surprisingly not as perky today." Vada comments.

Wednesday scoffs. "Consider it a birthday gift." She mocks.
