- Call of the Woe -
2x3

The main yard of Nevermore is packed with students. Vada is glad to be leaving campus, but a bit annoyed to have to follow Wednesday to a cabin where supposedly, Galpin and Bradbury was using as a safe house.

"Atten-hut!" Principal Dort speaks from his position at the werewolf statue. "It's time to heed the call of adventure! Good morning, my fellow Outcasts! So wonderful to see your bright and shining faces. The buses are already here. Be careful loading those coffins." He jokes. "Number one, look out for one another. Number two, have fun!"

Claps and cheers sound in the crowd as Vada sighs and adjusts her backpack on her back. She's packed too much, but she can't leave without her knife set, her crystal ball, her torture kit, and some clothes.

"Need some help carrying that to the bus? Looks about to blow." Bruno chuckles as he moves to stand beside her.

Vada scoffs softly. "It's essentials."

"Essentials for a demon, I've never been more curious." He smiles. "Seriously, let me carry it for you."

She watches him for a long moment before shrugging off the bag and letting him take it. He's surprised by the weight but puts the strap on his shoulder. She has to admit, her back feels better without it. "Thanks."

"No problem. I gotta say, I was surprised to see you coming. Camping doesn't seem like your thing." He says as he walks to the bus and loads the bag.

"It's not, but I need a home away from hell for the weekend." Vada looks around before sliding into the seat and allowing Bruno to sit beside her. He's not so bad when he's not actively begging to date her.

"Sounds fun." He smiles and grabs his phone and earbuds, glancing over. "Hey, do you listen to music?"

"Not really. I have trouble navigating my phone. I really only take pictures or call people." She admits.

"Here." He hands her one of the earbuds. "I wanna show you the goodies."

Vada lifts her brows and puts it in her ear, smiling a little. The bus begins to move, but she's more focused on the music that begins to play. "What is this?"

"Out of touch. Daryl Hall & John Gates. The best musicians of the 80s." Bruno grins, looking over at her. "Never heard it?"

"Never.. I like it." She giggles, hearing how the music sounded. She's heard music, but the way her sensitive ears interpret this song.. it's like magic. Her heart pounds.

"You're out of touch! I'm outta time! But I'm outta my head when you're not around!" Bruno sings, grinning as he holds his phone like a microphone.

Her eyes widen as she watches him, holding back a laugh. "What are you doing?"

"Rocking out. Come on, it's therapeutic.."

"I'm not doing that."

"Come on! I thought demons were fearless.." he nudges her.

Vada rolls her eyes before grabbing his phone. "You're outta touch. I'm outta time. But I'm outta my head when you're not around." She sang.

"Damn girl! Nice voice! Here it comes!" He leans closer, singing into the phone with her, going crazy with the vocals and attempting the vocals of the singer.

Vada laughs as she sang with him, watching his movements and over dramatic singing. He's really nice.. really funny.

The song ends and the two laugh, even as students look over and stare. Vada shakes her head. "You're weird."
