- The Devil You Woe -
2x2When Vada returns back to her dorm, she's confused to see Bruno leaning against the door.
Bruno looks up from his phone and smiles a little. "Hey. I just.. you ran off so quick earlier. I wanted to check on you." His eyes dip down her frame and he pauses. "Why do you smell like that?"
"Like what?" Vada asks, moving around him and opening her dorm door. It's empty inside, meaning Wednesday and Enid are probably making out in the wolf cages again.
"Like a.. hospital or something. I don't know, there's just some really strong scent on you." He follows her inside and glances around, looking a little pissed off.
"I visited a.. friend of mine. It's none of your concern." She walks to her bed and drops her bag before pausing and glancing around. She feels watched and it's not Bruno's eyes. She doesn't see anything though.
"Is everything okay between us? I mean, I hope I haven't come on too strong, you're just really pretty. I wanna take you out sometime.." He tries again, his brown eyes hopeful and for a moment, Vada feels guilty. For a moment.
Before she remembers Tyler's hands on the small of her waist and his mouth pressed against hers, the scent of his sweat and need and-yeah, she's got that in the bag.
"Bruno. You do not want me. I'm violent and unladylike and I feast on souls with my father who is the devil and my step father who is the king of hell. My grandpa is God and the very sight of blood makes my stomach curl with hunger. I can murder people with my bare hands and I enjoy it." She's trying to scare him off—but perhaps he's more of a masochist than he lets on, because he's smiling like an eager hound. Fitting.
"Maybe that's what I like about you. You're not afraid to be yourself. And all your family stuff is kinda interesting to me. I mean, your family is literally apart of one of the largest religions in the world."
"Ugh, don't start worshipping anyone, they hate when people pick favorites. It's always about grandpa and if you aren't in support of grandpa then you have to be supporting the devil and that's just evil and.. it's exhausting."
Bruno chuckles and shakes his head. "See? You're so different from everyone else. I mean, I've never met a girl like you. It's amazing how different life is for you."
"You do realize that I could never date a werewolf, correct? You have short life spans and you'll die before I even turn 20 in hell terms. It'll be a long and depressing way to spend your life, knowing your girlfriend will always look better than you."
He grins. "So it's a yes?"
"What? No. I'm trying to tell you-" Vada can't finish her sentence because something powerful hits her over the head and black fills her vision. She hears another thud beside her before losing consciousness and knows Bruno has been hit too.
Vada's body is sore and heavy when her eyes open. Immediately, she feels the stinging of chains against her and not just regular ones—ones dipped in holy water to really pin her down.
Movement hits her back and she looks over her shoulder to see Bruno tied against her as well—his chains covered in wolfsbane. Whoever did this, they are smart enough to tame their supernatural sides too.
"Vada? Are you okay? Are you hurt?"
"You're asking the demon if she's okay? You're the dog." She deadpans in annoyance and shifts, looking around. They're in a tower she doesn't recognize at first, then realizes it's one of many of Wednesday's make out places with Enid. "Iago Tower.. great."
