"Is she gonna be alright?" Enid asks, watching her friend get fixed up.

"I believe so, yes." Weems says softly and looks towards Vada.

The girl is awake now, holding Tyler's hand tiredly as the doctor finishes checking on her wounds. She had gotten surgical stitches and was left the rest whilst Tyler had gotten stitches on his chest.

"I guess we're just a bunch of injured ducklings, aren't we?" Tyler chuckles as he rubs Vada's knuckles.

Vada smiles tiredly and nodded. "Guess so." She mumbles but she can't help but remember the look Tyler had in his eyes the night before; guilt.

Weems steps into the room with a small sympathetic smile. "Ms Morningstar, how are you feeling?"

"Better. Im sorry we snuck out, Ms Weems." Vada looks at her with soft eyes before looking away.

"Don't you worry about that right now. You just need to rest and get better." Weems smiles.

"Have you gotten a hold of my dad?" Vada asks, eyes growing to be hopeful.

Weems' smile slowly falls. "I'm sorry, Vada. No."

Vada frowns and looks away, swallowing a little as tears well in her eyes but she refuses to let them fall. "It's okay."

Weems walks out of the room as Wednesday walks to the doorway, standing at it as she stares at Vada.

"You don't have to stare. I know i'm pretty." Vada smirks tiredly at the girl.

Wednesday blinks and looks away. "You're right across the hall from Eugene." She informs. "The other one that i've managed to hospitalize."

"No. Don't start blaming yourself, Wens. This is no one's fault but my own." Vada says. "If I hadn't fought against Enid, I would be fine."

"We're just glad you're alive." Enid says, walking in with a black bag and black roses. "I got you some things to make you feel better."

"Please, Enid. No more snoods." Vada sighs out a little.

"It's nothing like that." Enid promises and lightly gives her the bag.

The girl looks at her before slowly beginning to open the bag. Inside, a black fluffy blanket along with a black vampire cat it looked to be stuffed animals. Squishmallows. Enid had a mountain of colorful ones in her part of the room.

"Enid. You didn't have to get me these." Vada smiles softly and looks up.

The blonde grins at her and kisses her cheek. "You're one of my best friends. You deserve some gifts."

Vada smiles and let's Enid put the blanket over her before holding the stuffed animal gently, playing with the little ears. "I love them. Thank you."

"No problem." Enid grins. "We have to go give a statement to Tyler's dad." She waves before walking out.

Vada lays her head back and sighs quietly, glancing at Tyler. He's already looking at her. "Yes?"

"I'm sorry this happened to you. I shouldn't have let you go in there." Tyler says.

"It's no one's fault, Tyler." Vada promises.

After a day, Vada is released to go to Nevermore again. Weems is helping her up the stairs to Ophelia Hall. "I expect you to complete your class work online for the next few days until you feel ready to be in person again." She says.

"Principal Weems, i'm fine, really. Just a little slow is all. The doctor said i'd be sore for a few days until the stitches dissolve. I can do regular classes. Just maybe need a note for showing up late."

"Fine, fine." She says and opens the door looking at Enid. "Oh, hello Ms Sinclair."

"Hi. Sorry, Principal Weems but you forgot to read my Email. Vada and I are staying with Yoko right now."

"What?" Vada asks, looking confused. "Why?"

"Wednesday almost got us.. you killed. We need a break." Enid says.

Vada shakes her head. "Enid. I love you and you're my best friend but Wednesday didn't do anything wrong. She's my best friend too and i'm staying in my own bed, not some dusty vacant one."

Enid sighs. "Let's hope she doesn't kill you before lunch tomorrow." She walks off.

Vada sighs and goes to her bed slowly, sitting down. Wednesday is typing on her typewriter quickly, stains on her cheeks but no one but Vada can see them from the angle she is sitting in.

"Are you comfortable? Do you need anything before I leave?" Weems asks.

"I'm fine, thank you." Vada says quietly.

"Wednesday, I expect you to tend to Vada's needs while she is healing. Remember, the red button on that wall immediately calls your dorm mother, Ms Thornhill."

Wednesday simply nods as she keeps typing. Weems leaves and Vada looks at the girl.

"What happened?"

"Enid broke up with me." Wednesday says shakily. "She requested to transfer to Yoko's room and she vowed never to speak to me again."

Vada frowns. "Wens.. I'm sorry... She's probably just mad about all that stuff that happened. I'm sure she will come around. Give her some time."

"I.. I messed up. Badly, and i'm one screw up away from being expelled from Nevermore, Weems hates me, Enid hates me, you probably hate me too!" Wednesday says, holding the shake of her voice back.

"Hey. Don't say that. Weems is upset with you, yeah but she wants to keep you safe. And Enid? She's in love with you but she's upset about what happened. And I would never hate you. Ever. Got it?" Vada asks.

Wednesday looks at her softly before looking away. "Thank you." She says simply. She picks up the jewelry box from the bedroom and watches pictures fall out from under it.

Vada looks down. "What's that?"

Wednesday bends down and picks up pictures of herself doing multiple activities from the past few weeks. She shows Vada before coming across more.

"Are those me?" Vada asks, seeing pictures of herself from way before Wednesday had even arrived. They had dated back all the way to one of her first days at school. And so recent as when she had just went through the dorm room door with Weems helping her.

"Someone is stalking us." Wednesday says, looking at Vada with soft eyes.

"Who? Why would someone be stalking us?" Vada questions, frowning in confusion.

"My guess? We're close to closing our case." Wednesday smirks slightly.

"It's about to get a lot more fun..."
