- If These Woes Could Talk -
2x3Returning back to her dorm is something Vada feels a pang of emptiness from. She knows she's not alone because she rooms with Enid and Wednesday, but Tyler isn't there.
She feels bad for leaving right after the boy's lunch came, but at least he understood she had to get back before she got into trouble.
The door is closed and she ignores any minuscule detail as she pulls open the door and catches sight of Wednesday and Enid making out on Enid's bed.
"Vada!" Enid sits up quickly, fixing her skirt while Wednesday fixes her braids.
"Oh, wow.." she turns away and shakes her head. Out of all the flesh, seeing Enid's breasts are probably the last thing she wants to vision for the rest of her life.
"Didn't you see the scrunchie on the door?" Enid rushes to ask, adjusting her top and standing up. "That's kind of universal roomie code for do not disturb."
Vada rolls her eyes before sniffing the air and turning toward her side of the room. "What the hell did I tell you about staying away from my side?"
Agnes appears quickly and puts her hands up. "It was the only place without a view of them."
Wednesday stands quickly and glares at Agnes. "How long have you been there?"
"Somewhere between-" Agnes makes kissing noises, then rubs her upper arms and moans playfully. "Oh! Wednesday!"
"That was strike two." Wednesday informs, crossing her arms as Enid quickly goes to the bathroom to gather herself.
"I was trying to take mundane tasks off your plate, so you can focus on the case." She explains to the girls. "Like picking up your mail.." she hands an envelope to Wednesday. "A letter from your publisher."
The girl takes it and opens it up. "Dear, Miss Addams. We all love Viper.. dah dah dah.. you're incredibly difficult to work with.. blah blah blah.. adamant refusal to engage in the editing and rewriting process.. regrettably I must drop you as a writer. Please seek help." The girl reads, her voice slightly pained.
Vada's eyes soften. She knows how much that novel means to Wednesday. She's spent so much time and effort on it. She knows it probably hurts. "Oh, Wednesday.."
"I'd rather no one read my novel than make a compromise." Wednesday closes the letter, hiding her pain. "About the investigation, all of our answers are at Willow Hill. And I know just the lunatic to get them for me." She explains.
The Iago tower is just as vacant as the day Vada and Bruno were pranked by Agnes. It's dark and dusty, dim.
Wednesday looks around calmly as she leads Vada to the main platform. "I'm sure he's here somewhere."
"The devil's daughter and a sociopathic future killer, back again. I love this duo." A familiar voice speaks from behind them.
Vada turns and grins up at Fester. "Hello, Fester."
"Hello. You two rang?"
"Thanks for coming on such short notice." Wednesday speaks calmly.
The man shrugs and smirks. "For my favorite niece, I'm always a lurk away."
"We need you to get into Willow Hill." Vada informs.
Fester's brows raise at the name. "Last time I did that was for your mother, Wednesday. She wanted me to check on her sister."
That catches Wednesday's attention. "Aunt Ophelia was in there?"
"Oh, years ago. She'd flown the coop by the time I was committed. I stuck around for a few weeks. They had a top notch electroshock therapist, Igor. He ran a gulag in Siberia. He really knew how to rattle the old cerebral cortex." He pauses and suddenly zaps something.
