- If You Don't Woe Me by Now -
1x7Whilst Vada heals, the Mayor's funeral goes on in Jericho. Wednesday has left to crash it and Vada can't be anymore jealous.
Weems and the others have explicitly told her to rest and take it easy but it has been days and she's able to move almost perfectly again. She isn't sore as much and she can do her usual activities again.
So, while the others are out of their dorm, Enid going to plant memorial flowers with Yoko and a few others for the Mayor, and Wednesday having left the crash the funeral, Vada has decided to work on her project.
The girl sits up on her bed, working to resurrect the rose completely. For the past few weeks, she found the strain of using her powers to become lighter and not make her as tired which is good. Thornhill has been extremely persistent on Vada mastering this art and what better time to practice than now?
Thornhill knocks on the door. Vada knows who it is. She can sense the strawberry and lemon perfume she dowses herself in. "Come in."
Thornhill walks in and smiles softly. "Heya, kiddo. How's it coming?" She asks softly, looking at the rose. Most of it is alive now, just one petal that is holding onto death. Vada likes that.
"I'm almost finished." Vada informs softly.
"I have another rose that's wilted. I'd like you to try that after and see how fast you can do it. This rose has taken you what? Weeks? I wanna see if you can do it in minutes." Thornhill grinned and showed her a new rose that was wilted and even more rotted away than the one she had been working on.
"Okay.." Vada says softly and furrows her brows slightly but never the less, she looks back at the rose and finishes bringing it back to life completely.
Thornhill claps her hands happily. "I love this! Thank you." She says and puts it in a vase before putting the new rose in front of Vada. "Now try this one."
"Can I take a break? I mean i've been working on that one for like an hour or two already.."
"I said. Try it." Thornhill snaps slightly causing Vada to look at her in confusion.
The girl slowly looks back at the rose, tilting her head. "Why does this mean so much to you?"
"Excuse me?" Thornhill asks. "I just want you to master your power.."
"I'm taking a break. I want to talk to Wednesday." Vada says simply and stands, walking out of the dorm before the woman could do or say anymore to her.
Vada walks around campus, ignoring the stares as she looks for a certain braided haired girl. "Wens?" She calls out softly as she walked to the bee keeping shed.
The door opens and Wednesday sticks her head out. "Yes? Vada? You're supposed to be resting.."
"Oh you're sounding like Weems." Vada opens the door, pausing slightly when she sees a man standing behind Wednesday. "Whose this?"
"My Uncle Fester. He's laying low in here for a while so I don't want you to tell any one about him, okay?"
Vada shrugs and looks back at Fester. The male smiles and nods at her.
