Robby and I pulled into the school parking lot and made our way towards the gym, arms linked. Before we entered, Robby stopped, pulling me to the side.

"Thank you for coming with me", he said with a smile. I smiled back and gave his arm a light squeeze.

"Of course, that's what friends are for", I said. Robby's smile dropped at my words.

"Right", he said, his smile returning, "friends."

Confused, I looked at Robby wanting to see if he was okay.

"Robby is-", I started.

"We better get going", he cut me off. With my arm still in his, we made our way into the gym.

Walking in, we both took a moment to look around. I was looking at the directions and hoping to  find someone I knew. Robby, I assumed, was looking for Sam.

"Hey Robby, Y/N", I heard a voice say. Turning I saw Sam and Miguel approaching us, hand in hand. Sam gave Robby and I a hug in getting while Miguel stood to the side. I looked at Miguel to see he was already looking at me. Seeing as Sam and Robby were already in their own conversation, I decided to talk to Miguel.

"Hey Miguel", I started, "you look nice", I gestured towards his tux. He briefly looked down bashfully.

"Thanks Y/N", he responded, "you look beaut- I mean nice too", he added. His cheeks turned red at his last remark. I knew what he was going to say, but I didn't want to embarrass him.

"Thank you", I said and gave a mock curtsy. Turning to see Sam and Robby, I noticed that they had moved to stand at a table. Trying to not let my disappointment show, I turned back to Miguel.

"Want to grab some punch?", I asked.

"Yeah, sure", he responded. Miguel and I made our way to the snack table, grabbing punch for ourselves as well as Sam and Robby.

"So..", Miguel started, "When did you and Robby start going out?", he asked. I glanced at him from the corner of my eye, noticing him glancing at me.

"Um... you know... recently", I replied. How was I suppose to answer that? How was I suppose to say, "Oh well, you know, Robby and I are fake dating so he can make your girlfriend jealous and leave you for him"? This was the best way for me to keep it simple.

"Nice, nice", he said before taking a sip of his punch. I nodded, not knowing what to say. Silence fell upon us as we filled up our cups.

"We should bring them their punch", I said, breaking the silence. He nodded while grabbing his and Sam's cup. I grabbed mine and Robby's cup and made my way to their table, Miguel beside me.

"Hey guys", I started, "What are we talking about?", I asked casually. I was hoping my casual tone would mask the awkwardness I felt. I didn't want to admit it or seem full of myself, but I couldn't kind of see what Robby was talking about when he said Miguel had a "crush" on me. That or I was just really nervous about being here, with them.

"Oh, we were just talking about how cute of a couple you and Robby make", Sam replied with a smile. I turned to look at Robby with a raised eyebrow.

"Is that right?", I asked. He glanced at me with a shy smile.

"Yep", he said as a blush crept up his face.

"Well you and Miguel make a cute couple too", I said without thinking. I had spaced that the plan was to have them not be a couple. Too late now, I guess.
