Green patches of moss and thick roots covered his body from head to toe as little flowers bloom in their rest, his limbs tangled down with the earth, but he was still waiting with his head arched down. Many seasons passed, of winter's harsh whispers, of summer's attempts of joyous influence, of autumn's beauty that can't compare to him, and finally, of springs, the day he gave his life to those around him as spring gives life to others. He waited

Those two years his body collected and encased in soil and rocks as his figure didn't and not even once moved, not even a flinch. Only his absent eyes that are slightly open looking at the grass patch on the floor. How many times must he pray to his immortal self that he will return? How many moons will it take to realize that his sun will not return? Still, his knees were on the floor as his thighs were folded, his arms failed him and his axe stood rooted beside him. He waited.

Footsteps were fresh on the spring-bathed grass as the steps grew louder and louder and in a pause, he saw some familiar feet in front of him.

"I'm back, Nasus." A soft buttery voice was heard, familiar in its tone. But he didn't raise his head up,

"By gods, if this is another illusion, please, no more." He silently whimpered as each word spoken caused the built-up rock and soil to collapse, mouthing each word with sadness and grief.

In the presence of the light of spring, the dew drops that cover the green patches of soil underneath and his surroundings, the wind wavering against the Zephyr's winds, beautiful as the day he lost him. Each step was graceful in its rhythm on the grass leaving a hint of morning essence in their presence. The "hallucination" slowly knelt down at his level as he slowly and gently, flesh cupped both sides of his jawline reminding him that if this really was a hallucination then by gods he was worse than before; raising them like glass as if they were fragile, touched, with utmost care. And in his eyes was the sun he once admired oh so much. The light of spring behind him highlighted his figure like heaven was just behind him as he slowly, he tried to reach out to for him, but no words came out of his mouth leaving his lips agape, the only sound that escape his lips resembled wailing, his hands were still tied down by the roots of the earth, and there he was...

Azir pulled him close as Nasus recoiled forward, still weak from two years of longing and absence of presence did he deemed worthy. But in his immortal eyes, he will wait for as long as it takes. Losing both their balance, Azir strumbled back as the weight of the man fell onto him, for the first time in his immortal existence, the ocean blue hue of his eyes blended with the waters welling in them,

Ah... yes, this was his sole purpose, the very essence of his very being belonged to the person before him.

I am an instrument of war, born and raised to shower my weapons with blood,

but even though I am, I would choose peace with you.

Even with the million voices in my head, in the face of time, I will always hear yours.

And by gods does it sound beautiful.

Maybe it's not time that proves the true meaning of loyalty,

The last remnant of his stone and soil-covered body left his person, and his tears trailing behind both of their fall,

But despite the abundance of it.

In the backline, Renekton smiled, but not atrociously nor his normal smiles, but rather the smile genuine enough that despite his appearance and sins captivate those around, and that's when you know they repented their acts. Immediately, a weight was on his shoulder although he didn't flinch, Ryder rode his shoulders,

"I feel powerful on top of the world!" Ryder shouted. Soon other captains and Camille appeared from behind, grinning back at Ryder and him.

"Then am I your world, little one?" Renekton snorted after,

If this is what Nasus felt in his time here, then damn I'm jealous. Renekton sneakered in his own thoughts.
