Sound Break 2: Under His Spell

Prologue

Being an idol and an artist that is known globally is not easy. People would expect you to always be good. The pressure is always there.

"Eat first Justin, kanina ka pa dyan" I look at Belle. She looks tired.

"Nahh, I'm not hungry." She shook her head like she doesn't like my answer.
Huminga sya ng malalim.

"Justin, even if you're not yet hungry you still need to eat on time!" Sermon nya sakin. Napa kamot ako sa kilay ko. There she goes again. Palagi nya sakin sinasabi na I have to eat on time, that I need to eat healthy foods and I should not overwork myself.

I understand where shes coming from. I got hospitalized four months ago. The doctor advised me not to overwork myself and I should eat on time.

"I need to finish this, Belle. The play is on the third week of this month and it's already the 3rd day of the month. I need to rush this, I don't want to encounter any problems during the play." I explained. Bumuga sya ng hangin.

"Naiintidihan ko naman yun Justin, pero wala namang masama kung kakain ka lang saglit diba?" I stuck my tongue on the side of my cheek.

"Belle please, I don't want to argue with you right now." Sabi ko bago ko sya tinalikuran. Pumasok ako sa studio ko at ni-lock yun.

Belle is my manager, she's also my friend. Classmates kami since highschool at naging mas close noong nag college kami.

I am the Director of the upcoming theater play that will be held this month. It is one of the biggest theater plays in the country that's why I'm really working hard on this.

This is my profession aside of being an artist, performer and part of Sound Break. I was the director behind those music videos and movies that were awarded internationally. I'm also a painter, and no one knows about it. I am hiding in Jah's identity. The most popular filipino painter.

I am doing all of that while I am active in our group. Pinag sasabay ko yun lahat because I love what I'm doing but sometimes I forget that I am only a human. I forgot to take care of myself.

I just found myself in the four corners of the room. It's all white. I heaved a sigh when I remembered what happened. I collapsed when I came out of my studio.

Bumukas ang pinto at iniluwa nito si Belle. Seryoso lang syang naka tingin sakin.

"Ang tigas talaga ng ulo mo! I told you not to overwork yourself!" Sermon nya sakin.

"Not now Belle.." I said. She brushed her hair with so much frustration.

"No! Whether you like it or not I will hire your personal assistant!" I massage my temple. Huminga ako ng malalim.

"Fine.." Personal Assistant lang naman pala eh. Si Belle nga na matagal ko nang kasama walang magawa kapag may gusto ako na ayaw nya, yung assistant pa kaya?

Ngumisi sya sakin. "But that PA will live with you—will cook for you. And do everything just to make sure that you'll monitor your health." My lips parted.

"What?!"

She scoffed.

"As far as I know you're not deaf, Justin" I frustratedly brush my hair.

"No. I don't need a PA" I said with finality. She shook her head.

"No Justin, I will hire your PA. And you'll meet that person tomorrow"

I close my eyes and touch my head. Bukas agad? Is she that desperate to find me a PA?
