Chapter 31: Zalfie day!

Esme's POV

" Esme!!" Emilia screamed running into my room as I slowly woke up.

" What's wrong Emilia?" I asked and then Emilia threw her arms around me pulling me into a friendly hug.

" I love you Esme!" She said sweetly. I hugged her tightly back and then we were disturbed by dad running into my room.

" What's wrong?" He asked, then he saw Emilia hugging me. "You two are so cute! But you did just wake your baby sister up!"

" Sorry daddy." Emilia and I said together before Emilia went to wake up Wardo and I got up for the day. It was 7:20 so I got up and got dressed into some blue denim shorts and a white frozen T-Shirt as it was quite hot outside. I also got out some cotton shorts as dad was planning to go to Argos and buy some water guns to play with today. I managed to put my hair in a ponytail by myself as Erika had taught me how to and then I walked down the stairs to find daddy making breakfast.

"Weetabix?" He asked. I nodded and sat down at my spot at the table. Dad then brought over a bowl of weetabix and milk and a drink of water.

" When you've had breakfast how about we go into town to find some water pistols?" He said as I took a spoon full of my cereal.

" yeah!" I said enthusiastically. I finished my breakfast off quickly and then dad and I set off to town.

" Look what Jonathan went out to buy." Zoe said as she showed the 6 water pistols to her camera.

" we're having a water fight later!" Alfie screamed. I went over to mum as she was trying to juggle Ellie-May and the BBQ food. She passed the baby over to me and to.d me to hand her to dad, so I did as I was told and then I went back to mum so I could help her get all the food and drink out of the fridge.

" So," mum said pointing the camera at the large array of food. " we have gone all out for this BBQ. We have sausages, Burgers, chicken, Skewers, corn on the cob and pork things. Then we have finger rolls and burger buns. And I'm going to attempt to make some ice cream milk shakes to drink."

" Ice cream!" Emilia said as she walked in from the other room.

" Yeah Emilia. But we are going to make milk shakes with them." I said. This was going to be soooo much fun.

Dad and Alfie got the BBQ lit quickly and so they quickly got some of the food cooking. Zoe and mum made a salad whilst I entertained Emilia, Eduardo and Ellie-May. Soon the food was ready so we all sat down outside and ate our food and drank the amazing Oreo milkshakes that mum made. Once we finished we Had a massive waterfight outside. Alfie, Emila and I were in a team against Zoe, dad and Wardo. It was quite funny really because Wardo kept shooting himself in the face with water so he ended up soaking wet. In the end our team won as Zoe and dad ended up retreating to the garage. When it was time for Emilia, Wardo and I to go to bed Zoe read us all a story which was a nice change ( even though she can't do the voices as good as daddy does them). today was the best day ever!
