In the school building, Marinette met up with her at the stairway.
Alya: Hey.
Marinette: Hey. So, how was everyone's King's Day yesterday? *Some answered great. *
Alya: Nora got the crown. I was hoping to get it this year.
Marinette: Aw, there's always next year.
Alya: Hopefully.
Mylene: I got a crown this year.
Rose: That's great, Mylene.
Alya: What about you, Marinette?
Marinette: Bridgette got the crown; my grandparents came and well... something happened.
Alya: What happened?
Marinette: My Nonna came by, she gave us gifts.
Alix: Gifts like that?
Marinette: Well Marin a motorbike as a belated birthday present, Bridgette a coupon for a free body piercing, a makeup and hair coupon for me, and an abseiling coupon for Timmy.
Alix: Sound like bad gifts.
Marinette: The others said otherwise about how it's dangerous, not safe for any of us.
Alix: Oh.
Marinette: But things were all good again after they were all akumatized.
Alya: What happened? What made them akumatized?
Marinette: Do I have to get into details about that?
Alya: You don't have to tell us if you don't want to.
Marinette: Thank you.
Chloe: Just typical. After what happened yesterday with that old man, I'd figured that it was Dupain-Cheng's grandpa. Such an old brute.
Lila: Hmm... you don't say. *Chloe rolled her eyes in annoyance. *
Chloe: I want her to suffer, but no matter what I do. It always backfires badly!
Lila: That's the problem. You're always overthinking stuff, that's why it backfires. *She turned her head around and looked at Marinette, talking to her friends. * You need to study your opponents before making your move.
Chloe: Ugh, fine. But I want to see her suffer now.
Lila: All in due time. *She smirked evilly over at Marinette, and then the first bell rang meaning time to go to their first class. Outside of Luka's school, Luka parked his bike at a bike rack, he headed inside where he saw his friends by the lockers. *
Joshua: And that's when Chris just fell from a tree.
Christina: Is he okay?
Joshua: Yeah. Just had a minor fracture.
Christina: Wow.
Owen: Glad I don't climb trees much.
Luka: Hey.
Owen: Hey. Joshua just told us about the time his cousin fell from a tree.
Luka: Is he okay?
Joshua: Yeah. Just has a mild fracture on his left arm.
Luka: Ahh.
Amber: So, what did you do yesterday?
Luka: Well, it was Kings Day, so I had a galette with Marinette's family and my family.
Amber: Cool.
Christina: That's nice.
Owen: I tried one of the galettes, it was pretty good.
