In the cafeteria, people were inside getting their lunch. Marinette stands behind Alya in line.

Marinette: Yeah. My parents didn't feel like packing anything not just for me, but for Marin, Bridgette, and Timmy.

Alya: Seeing anything you like?
Marinette: Think I'll have the tenders.
Alya: I'll have the bowl of chili. *They moved up in line. *
Lunch lady McGrady: Hello, Alya. What would you like today?
Alya: I'll have the chili today.
Lunch lady McGrady: Of course. *She put some chili in a bowl, Alya lifted her tray put the bowl down, put a piece of cornbread on the tray, and put some green beans on her tray too. * There you go.
Alya: Thank you. *She moved down and grabbed some grapes and apple juice. *
Lunch lady McGrady: Hello, Marinette. It's been a while since you've been in line for lunch.
Marinette: Yes, it has.
Lunch lady McGrady: What would you like? We got whoppers, chicken tenders, and chili.
Marinette: I'll have the chicken tenders.
Lunch lady McGrady: Good choice. *Marinette raises her tray and Lunch Lady McGrady puts 3 chicken tenders on her tray, then adds some mashed potatoes, and mixed vegetables, and puts a garlic Texas toast on her tray. *
Marinette: Thank you. *She moved down and grabbed a mandarin orange and a chocolate milk carton. At the table, Alix drinks some grape juice, Mylene eats some mixed vegetables, Juleka holds a French fry and dips it in ketchup, Rose eats some apple sauce, Zoé takes a bite of a chicken tender, Jessica talks to Aeon, and Marinette and Alya joined them. *
Mylene: No packed lunch, Marinette?
Marinette: Not this time. To be honest, I miss school lunch. *She eats a scoop of mashed potatoes. *
Alya: So, what's been going on lately? *She opened up her apple juice. *
Alix: Well, this tough guy Boris, you'll never guess what he did.
Zoé: What did he do? *She eats a scoop of mashed potatoes and Mylene eats a grape. *
Alix: He put a kick me sign on some boy's back and he's been kicking him all day.
