A little while, Tom preheats the oven to 425, combine the beef, egg, onion, panko, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, the red pepper flakes, and half of the ginger in a large bowl and mix with your hands. Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a rimmed baking sheet; refrigerate while you make the broccoli.
Sabine: Tom, how long will the meatballs be refrigerated?
Tom: When I'm done prepping the meatballs.
Sabine: Okay. *Soon, the doorbell rang. * Marin, can you get the door? *She washed her hands and started prepping the broccoli, she tossed the broccoli with 1 tablespoon of canola oil, the sesame seeds, and the remaining ½ teaspoon each salt and pepper on a separate baking sheet. Roast, tossing once, until tender and starting to char, 10 to 15 minutes. Drizzle with the sesame oil. Marin headed to the front door and opened it, it was Luka. *
Marin: Hey.
Luka: Hey. Is Marinette ready?
Marin: Let me check. *He walked to the stairs to her room. * Marinette. Your boyfriend's here.
Marinette: I'm coming. *Marin heads back to the front door. *
Marin: She'll be down soon.
Luka: Okay. *Soon, Marinette closed the trapdoor, headed downstairs, and stopped at the front door. *
Marinette: Hey.
Luka: Hey. *They both kissed. *

Luka: Let's go. *He held her hand and they both walked out, and Marin closed the front door. *
Tom: While Marinette is out for a bit, we'll get dinner ready to go. *He whisks the beef broth, hoisin sauce, vinegar, soy sauce, and cornstarch in a bowl as Sabine decides to make a drink for dinner. On the streets, Marinette and Luka were walking down the street, looking around too. *
Luka: How's it going lately?
Marinette: Everything's good. I've been talking culinary lately.
Luka: Culinary?
Marinette: I signed up for culinary as one of my electives. I've been good at it.
Luka: That's cool. *They walked by a fruit store called Épicerie, where inside an employee named Carlos and his boss, Mr. Allen were talking, Carlos watched the delivery men bringing shipments of fruit into the store. *
