So, taking the que, Gon naturally began to run for an exit in the back hallways of the stadium. But as Gon reached for the doorknob, he felt a familiar nen.

That nen...

Gon's eyes went wide and his heart ached. That's clearly Killua's nen.

He turned around abruptly and frantically searched the faces in the crowd to only see the panicked faces of the civilians. But right above them, he caught a small glimpse of lightning.

Heart jumping in his throat, Gon jumped up over the crowd and began to run in the direction of the vague, blue streaks.

Gon tried to keep his tears in with no avail as he began to jump over the roofs of the buildings.

It seems as if Killua did not try to hide himself or his nen in this place. So it was sort of easy to follow him.

He was just incredibly fast and it took all of Gon's strength just to stay on the right track.

He had to find Killua! That the whole reason he was here. Tears continued to slide down his face.

Eventually, Gon began to get closer to Killua than he realized. He noticed that Killua's charge had probably gone out.

When he finally got where he could see Killua, something he saw made him stumble a bit before he gained composure.

Another green haired boy was on his back with his nose nuzzled into Killua's neck.

It shouldn't have mattered. At all.

But, Gon still felt an overwhelming pang of jealousy in his heart.

He already found someone new while he was gone? It made Gon feel replaceable and unimportant.

Shit, Gon thought.

Why does this bother me so much?

Staying behind enough that Killua wouldn't pick up his presence, Gon jumped over the top of the building keeping an eye on the boy on Killua's back.

No reason, of course. Just to see what their relationship was...

Eventually, they approached a large, over advertised school that Gon had constantly saw in merchandise and conversation. He also recognized this as the school that Momo used to go to.

He felt a bit of guilt. Killua probably knew the girl that he had killed. He tried not to think about it as he perched on a branch near what seemed to be the dorms.

Gon saw Killua gently put the boy back down into the window and close it, but Gon could still hear the conversation.

"Now go to bed. And don't say anything about this," He heard Killua say.

Gon shifted on his branch because the other boy spoke a lot softer and he could barely hear him.

"- done anything like this before!" The boy was hysterical."What if someone finds out! What do I do? I could get arrested!"

"Izuku, you were the one who begged me to let you come."

Ah. Izuku was his name. After a whole, he spoke up again.

"A-alright fine! But why did you leave me back there?"

Left him?

"Uhm.. I thought I saw something. Sorry."

This caught Gon's full attention. What could he have seen that made him leave behind whoever this boy is?

"Goodnight Killua."

"Night."

He heard Killua shuffle around the room and walk to his own room to only pick up a book and read. But Gon knew that Killua didn't need to learn anything as his parents had already taught him up to college level in all subjects.

Gon realized that he was probably trying to act like he was studying just in case Izuku walked into his room.

Eventually, Killua out down the book and went to his computer, typing quickly on the keyboard.

Gon was overflowing with curiosity. His tears had alreday calmed down and he was trying not to burst into Killua's room just yet. He felt that it wouldn't be the best idea right away.

Gon was so curious to see what was on Killua's computer screen. What was he looking up? Did he have something to hide?

Soon enough, Gon had jumped down from his perch to go check out the rest of the school. He'd come back later to check on Killua, but he needed to make sure he was in a safe environment first.

His body was shaking with anticipation as he so very desperately wanted to jump into Killua's room and demand an explanation and who this Izuku was.

Walking around, he notices that it was indeed a dorm when he saw everyone asleep in their rooms.

After checking out the dorm, he moved to the main campus to see what the school building was about. It was just filled with classrooms and very expensive looking decorations. He did not sense any malicious intent anywhere.

The ceilings were all high up and the floors were all waxed and clean to where Gon could see his reflection in the floors.

He looked pretty roughed up with the green cloak still on. Sighing, Gon made his way back to the dorms, heart pounding in his chest.

Was he sure he wanted to see Killua? What if Killua didn't want to see him?

Gon shook his head violently. He can't go back. He needs to see Killua. He desperately missed him.

But when he got to the window, he realized it would be better to not see Killua.

He looked so intent and happy it almost made Gon feel sick.

Maybe he should just leave.

Wow another chapter already 😅

I seem to have an obsession with adding cliffhanger to like, every chapter and I'm so sorry I just feel like the story wouldn't be that interesting without it 🥲
