Killua just walked up to him with a sort of annoyed expression. "I remember you. That blond brat used his quirk on you, didn't he? And you tried to convince my best friend to be on your team."
"Listen, what I need right now is-"
"Melatonin," Killua interrupted, narrowing his eyes. He reminded himself he shouldn't be too confident. Just answering a question would set him up for a stupid failure.
He sighed in exasperation and continued. "I just need to win this. All I need is to get on the hero course. That's it."
KIllua desperately wanted to answer with, 'Sucks for you,' but he knew it would be too risky and just shrugged.
They just stood and stared at each other before Killua lowered his eyes and looked at Hitoshi with mocking glare. 'Come get me,' he seemed to say with just the tiniest smug grin.
He swung a punch that might of looked pretty solid to the crowd but Killua could immediately see the imperfections in the throw.
It was too low and wouldn't have hit the vital point that he most likely looking for. He also didn't move his waist with the punch, which would have helped it gain momentum. His thumb was tucked under his fist, an amateur move really. His feet were also pointing in the wrong directions and he wasn't squared enough to expect a hit back and could easily be thrown off of his feet.
Killua slipped his hand deftly around his wrist and threw him effortlessly over his shoulder on into the ground, gaining a sour sounding choke from Shinzo.
He put his arms behind his head and stood over the groaning figure with a right and smug expression.
"Pretty weak for a 'hero,'" Killua commented.
Hitoshi reached out and tried to grab his ankle to pull him down with him, but he quickly moved his foot back and slung it forward, hitting him square in the jaw and sending him reeling back in pain.
"You little bitch," he spat out, blood slowly dribbling from his mouth. "Your just cruel. No matter how hard you try, you'll never be a hero."
Killua just smirked and slammed his foot on top of his head, rubbing it further into the dirt. He let out a cry of pain as Killua gave a small nod while he was looking as to confirm his accusation.
Killua felt a kind of pain in his chest. He knew he would never be a hero. It's not like he wanted to anyways. He just always knew deep down that he would always have assassin instincts. He would never feel what it's like to be genuinely happy with himself.
Hitoshi always knew something wrong with her from the first time he saw her. Something was just.. off? It didn't seem right that the hair would seem to shift out of place or she would constantly fix her chest.
He was very observant, and he didn't like what he saw. All of it was suspicious, and he had an idea of what was going on.
But at the moment, he was just desperate to get her to answer him.
He spit out dirt on hee shoe and looked up as she stepped away and lifted her arms into a stance.
"Go ahead, fight me."
"No. Your just a cowardly, good for nothing sadist that goes out of her way to make everyone's life miserable," he said, going out on a limb to try to get her to respond.
He wiped his face and stood up, pretending like he didn't hurt everywhere. "You even left when the recreational activities started. What, were you ruining other peoples lives?"
Killua just pretended like he wasn't listening, but Hitoshi was just getting all of these on point.
"I bet-"
Before he could continue, Killua was behind him in a flash, chopping his neck and mocking him out.
The crowd was silent, watching Killua walk away with a slightly angry expression.
"I-uhh.. Anastasia Midoriya won!"
The crowd gradually began cheering as Killua walked out and slammed the door behind him, ripping off his wig.
A small tear dropped down and fell on the dusty floor before he continued down the hallway, brushing out the wig and situating it back on his head.
"Killua!" He heard an energetic voice yell from behind him.
Killua turned around and gave a big smile, masking his emotions.
"I won you dumb bitch. Now you gotta win too."
Gon nodded and pranced up to him, clinging onto him and giving him a hug.
"By the way, what was he saying to you down there? We were too far up to hear, but you looked kind of.. upset."
Killua rolled his eyes slapped Gon on top of his head. "It was nothing, idiot. Now come on, the next match is about to start."
