Chapter Thirty Five

When everyone got set up, Midnight picked the mic back up and smiled brightly at all of the students.

Todoroki was out at the head of the horse with Gon on top and Killua and Uraraka at the back. Gon had the headband with their huge scores strapped tightly around his forehead.

"Hey, Todoroki," Killua said, getting situated. "Could you.. freeze the headbands to Gon's head?"

"What?"

"Could you freeze the headbands to his head?"

Gon was still situating the headband around his wig with a determined expression.

"I mean... I guess. But wouldn't it be painful?"

Gon barked out a short laugh.

"None of you know what is truly painful."

Killua rolled his eyes. "Stop acting all condescending. It doesn't suit you."

"Students, get ready for the Cavalry Battle!" Midnight yelled into the mic.

"Hurry!" Killua hissed. "Freeze it!"

Todoroki reached up and touched the headbands, letting the cold ice branch out and spread against his forehead, covering Gon's fake hair and winding like straps around his neck.

"Teams! Start!"

Teams immediately began rushing towards their team, hoping to obtain their humongous point value.

"Remember the plan," Killua whispered. The entire team nodded their heads and stared at the groups running towards them from all directions.

Killua grinned. There was a reason why he situates them right in the middle..

"Not yet.. not yet..." Killua said as the team awaited for his word. "Not yet..."

People began to grow closer and closer, all gaining traction.

"Not yet..."

It was now to the point to where teams were only a yard away from them when..

"Now!"

They all jumped with the help of Killua's Godspeed and ended up at least twenty feet in the air. Todoroki quickly formed an ice platform underneath them and Ochako immediately activated her quirk, making the ice chunk float in the air and away from the students.

"Good job! How long can you keep this up?" Killua asked Ochako. She had previously told him that she could carry three tons, or 6000 pounds, with her quirk. That would have been more than enough to hold the weight of four teenagers, which would be around 450 pounds if added together, along with the weight of the ice, which was most likely around 100-300 pounds depending on the thickness and broadness of the ice. He also had to consider the equipment that he used, or more specifically, his yo-yos, which were both 50 kilos, or 110 pounds. With both of them added together, 220 pounds, the total weight of everything came out to roughly 870 pounds.

He knew that with heavy objects, she tended to have a hard time keeping things afloat without nausea, but he knew that she could pull it off. They just needed to buy at least a bit of time off of the beginning.

She already looked kind of pale, but she determinedly held her fingers apart firmly and puffed out her cheeks defiantly, briefly glancing at Killua. "At least another minute," she choked out.

"Good."

There weren't many rules that Midnight gave, so almost anything could go. From what he deduced, they could use their quirks but not for foul intent.

This should be easy.

Killua took out his yo-yos and began spinning them around, warming up. "It's been forever since I've used these bitches."

He grinned before expertly swinging them over the edges of the ice and knocking away futile attempts of still reaching them. He even recognized Sero's tape flying over the edge.

If it were him, instead of reaching over the ice, he would have taken it from the bottom and pulled them down.

"I- I can't hold it.." Ochako was struggling to hold the ice and she tarted turning purple from holding her breath.

"Alright then. Remember plan B7."

"You always have too many plans," Gon whined, smoke pouring out of his ears.

Eventually, Uraraka gave in to her nausea and pressed her fingers together, releasing her quirk and dropping the ice piece.

"Three.. two.. one!" They all jumped up at the same time before the ice smacked into the ground and shattered. Right when they landed, Todoroki refroze the floor of the entire bottom of the arena. The teams began to slide around and bump into each other, causing chaos.

"Hold on!" Killua yelled, activating his Godspeed.

People were shouting loudly in the stands, completely surprised about this new quirk.

Killua basically pushed the entire team around the stadium, navigating around the people.

Then, somebody ended up stabbing the ice and shattering it, forcing everyone to stop.

"Hey cuties!" They heard Mei yell as one of her "babies" reached forward towards Hkn's forehead.

Before Todoroki or Killua could react, Gon yelled, "Rock, paper, scissors!"

His nen shaped into a sharp sword and cut through Mei's invention, scattering its pieces everywhere.

"Awww," she whined as her team continued to run towards them.

The also continued sprinting and weaving through other teams, occasionally snatching some headbands from other teams.

Killua thought they were doing good until..

"Uhh, Killua?"
