"We should probably finish up because there's more that happened that night," Cordelia admits, sending a small frown to Hagrid. She was trying to break up the tension that Daphne had unknowingly built up. Daphne sent her a small wink, knowing that she was helping raise suspicions on not only Dumbledore but settling some issues Slytherin house had of Severus.
"You're right," Ron agrees with a small frown, remembering the little bit of the rest of that night.
"Very well, Fillius let's do the spell but this is the last chapter," Professor McGonagall states, glancing at the charms professor.
"Of course," Professor Flitwick smiled,
"He....Ron!"
"Well at least they are back to normal," Blaise states with a small smile.
"For now, they fight like cats and dogs," Cordelia joked, causing Neville and surprisingly Daphne to laugh while Blaise, Theo, and Astoria glanced at them confused.
"I don't get it," Theo murmured, tilting his head to the side. He read A LOT but he had never seen that expression, it was quite odd but found it very fitting.
"It's a muggle expression," Cordelia explained with a small grin causing Blaise, Theo, and Astoria to all nod; understanding why they didn't fully get the joke. "It means that they don't get on well at all and are at each other's throats," Cordelia explains it causing them to all make that 'awe' face.
Hermione....now."
"Cordelia," Hermione turned toward her. "I'm sorry, I should have listened to you and I promise to be a better friend," Hermione finished her apology very shortly, something that slightly upset Cordelia. She had ranted and raved at Hermione, trying to get her to understand that she was not an authority figure to her and she needed to have a reality check; apparently, that didn't fully happen. Hermione hadn't owned up to much which made her feel like she didn't listen.
Neville and Ron were watching her with bated breath, trying to decipher if she'd accept the apology or not, something that she was contemplating herself right now, she didn't know if she could forgive her but not only did they need to work together to help Hagrid, Cordelia didn't want to be seen as an unforgiving person, especially with people constantly watching the four of them.
"Cordelia.." Neville encouraged, giving her a knowing look. He knew where Cordelia's feelings were because they had talked about it but he also knew why they needed to move forward.
"I forgive you, just please Hermione remember what I said," Cordelia let the argument go completely after a moment, feeling tense and not going to forget what Hermione did or said, after all, Forgive but Don't Forget was practically the Evans motto according to Remus.
"So you never actually fully forgave me?" Hermione whispered the question as she turned toward her bestfriend. Cordelia sighed, squeezing Blaise's hand as she knew this was coming. "You just pretended that everything was alright!" She raised her voice slightly, her brown eyes flashing in anger and disappointment.
"I forgave you but I didn't forget Hermione!" Cordelia disagrees, taking a deep breath to keep herself calm for this conversation. "I don't want to have this conversation in front of everyone Hermione, it's not fair to us or them," Cordelia tries to steer the conversation to a stop but Hermione's hand was clenched and she knew what that meant.
"Cordelia it has to happen!" Hermione protest. "You made me think everything was fine! That we were all good but reading the past couple of chapters and now this, I finally know that you were just lying!" Hermione spits out, looking annoyed.
