"Is it okay if we let the spell read for a bit?" Cordelia questioned. She didn't want to hear her friends and family read out some of the most traumatizing moments of her life, it made her feel very nervous and scared.
"Of course Miss Potter-Black," Professor Flitwick answered, taking the book and flicking his wand as he said the spell that allowed the book to be read without anyone holding it or having to pass it back and forth. Cordelia gave him a thankful look and leaned against Theo, reaching behind him to squeeze Blaise's hand.
"I hope that Cordelia ends up seeing Sirius soon," Regulus whispered to Severus. "She probably needed him most of all, especially since he was the one person she physically couldn't see," Regulus frowned, knowing how much Siiriu wanted to be there and vice versa; he didn't have to know her a long time to figure that out.
"I hope so as well," Severus responded, his tone diplomatic. He didn't like Sirius Black too much even now and thought that he was still an arrogant bastard 50% of the time.
"Cordelia Potter-Black"
Coming out of what she thought was the strangest dream she had ever heard, Cordelia blindly fiddled around for her mirror – having heard Sirius call her name into it. Trying not to wake up Neville, Ron, or the other 4thy year boys, she flicked her wand doing a silencing spell over Neville's bed and another over him. She pressed her thumb on one part and whispered her godfather's name.
"Waking up to the mirror is so odd," James agreed with his daughter's slightly groggy feelings regarding them. He remembers the times that he and Sirius would call each other and wake the other up; Sirius often woke him up more than he woke up Sirius.
"It was in my dream too," Cordelia admitted, remembering why she thought that Sirius was entering her dream; his voice had broken through the barrier.
"The causal use of silent spells is fueling all of the questions I have," Regulus muttered, writing another question for his niece on the list he made. He had one list specifically for Cordelia and another for her friends; then there was the list for Sirius and Remus, the list for the school, and a compiled summary of Dumbledore's misgivings. There might also have been two lists of laws broken and a list for the next Minister.
"Hi Uncle Sirius, Uncle Remus," Cordelia greeted them with a slightly hoarse voice, taking in their disheveled appearances. "You both look how I feel," She weakly joked, getting a small snort from Sirius and an amused look from Remus.
"She cracks jokes just like Prongs in a time of crisis to divert attention," Sirius joked, causing both Potters to give him a slightly offended look. They knew that their jokes were always at the right time and really helped any situation.
"How did you sleep, sweetheart?" Remus questioned, seeing that Cordelia had dark bags under her eyes. He knew that they didn't sleep well last night but he was hoping Cordelia got to sleep, she needed as much as she could get.
"I slept after my fight with Hermione," Cordelia gave them a frown as she spoke, thinking of the night prior. She started retelling the night from getting chosen to when she went to bed. "Neville cuddled me and I ended up falling asleep rather quickly but I had horrible nightmares, and since I was occluding they aren't Voldy's.," Cordelia had a scowl on her face as she spoke. She hated the dreams that she had, from her parents being angry to her marrying an ogre and fighting a dragon, it was an odd dream.
"None of us slept well that night," Neville sighed, remembering that he kept getting up to check on his godsister at least 10 times and had checked on Ron a couple since he had been tossing and turning.
