The mattress feels so comfortable. He felt so warm. Oh, it even smelled like you.

Wherever he was, he didn't want to move. But then, a long low guttural growl was heard right above him. Diluc's eyes shot open to see a certain cat standing right above his chest. Her eyes wide and dilated, tail curled and her bottom wiggling, ready to pounce at its prey.

Although on the outside it didn't seem like it, he was so afraid right now. What? Is he just supposed to push her off? He's too scared to even touch the cat. Plus, it literally seems like she's about to attack him once he moves.

Mochi let out another growl, and Diluc could only stay still, scared he's about to get his face scratched off.

That's when you entered the room.

"Oh, you're awak- Ah! Mochi get off of him!" You rushed towards the bed and picked her up. Diluc sat up and let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. "I'm sorry, you just need to warm up to her is all. I promise she's a good kitty." You said, as you placed her on the floor and runs off downstairs.

Diluc says nothing, confused about what he's doing in what appears to be the upstairs of your bookstore. A sudden sensation of pounding emerged behind his eyes, which made him grunt in pain. Diluc's hands flew to his temples as the hangover finally kicked in.

"Oh - I brought you some green tea to help with the pain..." you said. You stepped forward and handed Diluc the cup as he muttered a small 'thank you'. The tea surprisingly helped with the migraine. In Inazuma, the best way to deal with hangovers was to have a hot cup of green tea, and it was well known throughout the region.

Now that his mind was clearer, he took the chance to speak.

"What am I doing here?" He says, flatly. You silently thanked the archons, as it would probably be embarrassing for the both of you to look back at how he acted yesterday.

"Well, you showed up at my door...drunk." you timidly say. Diluc's eyes widened. How could he possibly let himself get drunk? He doesn't even drink alcohol, at most. And to be in that state while he's with you? He prays he didn't do anything to you. He knows drunks can be very...bold. And he would never forgive himself if he'd had forced you into doing something you don't want to do.

"I want you to be completely truthful with me, and I won't forgive myself if i did. But...did I...do anything to you?"

"N-No, No! You didn't do anything to me." You blushed. You were telling the truth; he really didn't do anything, well, asides from the fact that he was more...touchy. Plus, you stopped him before he could try anything with you. Diluc blankly stared at you, trying to read your face. You were only able to keep his stare for a few seconds, until you looked away. It's not your fault you couldn't hold eye contact when you were nervous.

A slight blush appeared on his cheeks, but you didn't notice this, as he shamefully turned his head the other way.

He didn't believe you.

"Apologies. I must go. Thank you for the tea." He gets up and starts walking towards the door. "H-Huh? But aren't you still in the state of a hangover?" You say, confused as to why he suddenly wanted to leave. Diluc was about to brush past you, until you placed your hand on his arm. But when he looked down at you...

"D-Did I do something...?"

My goodness, how harshly you pulled his heartstrings right now. How can someone's voice sound so worried, yet so sweet at the same time? And that look, he wanted to so badly take that frown off your face.

Wait...is he blushing? Like, full on blushing?

Diluc's eyes were directed somewhere, anywhere but your eyes. He absolutely couldn't help it this time. And it wasn't just a slight hue of pink. It spread all over his cheek bones, to the tip of his ears. You can't say anything though.

Because you've never seen him like that before, you couldn't help but blush even more at the fact that you just made him blush. Who would've thought the oh so cold Master Diluc, was blushing just because of some puppy eyes?

You then took your hand off of him and looked away. Diluc was rubbing the back of his neck, still not meeting your eyes.

"You can, uh, go now." You spoke. Honestly, you just wanted him out because the fact that you caused him to blush was still roaming in your head, and you don't think you could handle being in the same room as him without your face melting off.

Diluc clears his throat. "Right...again, thank you."

And just like that, he's gone.

Again.
