Uh oh
you're screwed. . .so very screwed
You knew how serious Lisa was about returning books on time — so here you were, rushing through the city streets of Mondstadt.
Earlier in the day, you were sketching down some interior decorations for your bookstore that you've finally finished setting up. It was ready for opening, but you couldn't help but feel like it was still missing somethings. So, you went out in the wild for awhile to look for some cute little plants for your store.
Of course, you being you, you ended up getting lost around the small forest for about a few hours. After awhile, you found yourself the familiar path back to your store, and ended up throwing yourself on any nearest furniture you could throw yourself on. You were exhausted.
You were originally from Inazuma, and Lisa was the only person you knew from Mondstadt. Although she loved teasing you just to see you get flustered, you both got along really well and you enjoyed having her company. You've both grown quite close as you would write each other letters every week. So once you worked your butt off saving money for your dream store, you finally left without leaving anything behind, as you weren't close with much others.
'Ms Lisa is going to kill me if I don't get these turned in by today!'
It was pretty late already, but there were still a few civilians out either drunk, or some couples taking a nice stroll.
You were already near the building, you just needed to rush up those stairs. As soon as you met the corner leading up, you find yourself slamming face first into something firm. The impact being so harsh, knocking you off your footing and sending your books flying.
Before you could even react, two hands strongly gripped your waist, preventing you from hitting the ground. "Ma'am, are you alright?" A deep voice was heard from above you. You slowly look up to follow where to the voice is coming from, and are met with a man who was looking at you confusingly. You were quick to notice his beautiful, thick, bright red hair that was tied back in a high ponytail, the perfect amount of messy. He had fair skin, and sculpted facial features. He carried a reserved and stoic facial expression. It looked like he was frowning. But archons, he was handsome
His height didn't go unnoticed either, as you only barely reached the center of his chest.
"Ma'am, are you alright?" he asks again. His voice makes you break away from your thoughts, finally taking in the situation around you. You felt the warm glow quickly rushing to your cheeks from this mans beauty and also from embarrassment. Realizing you probably looked like a weirdo for staring too long, you respond before he possibly starts thinking you're odd.
"A-Ah! Yes, I'm alright!" You quickly turn to look at anywhere but his eyes, not knowing how to take in the fact from how attractive he was. However, his eyes confidently remained on yours that were trying to flick somewhere else.
For some reason, he made a mental note of it, and it was also the first thing he noticed about you; you couldn't hold eye-contact. And once he saw that you were fine enough to respond, he releases his hold from you.
"Please, watch where you're going next time." He states as he crosses his arms. He had a hint of annoyance in his expression, which made you feel a bit intimidated.
"Yes, of course — Oh, my books!" You said with slight panic. You dropped down and then quickly began to pick up all the books you'd dropped, a bit too fast for Diluc to even have a chance to help you so he stood there curiously, yet slightly amused.
You were soft-spoken and had a thin, gentle voice. Yet, due to Dilucs current proximity, he was able to hear you quite fine. He was fast to take note of your shy demeanor. "Listen sir I really have to get going, but - again, I'm really sorry for bumping into you and I promise to be more careful next time!" You said as you began running up the stairs.
Diluc was now left alone, still wondering about the strange interaction he just had. He wasn't going to lie, he thought you were a bit... odd. Also, did you call him sir? It already implied that either you didn't know him, or maybe you did and just didn't care enough to have some respect for his own status. It's not like he minded anyways whether someone didn't affiliate him as 'Master Diluc' unless it had bad intentions.
He had never really come across someone like you, other than sucrose of course. But he hasn't had the chance to properly introduce himself with her, so he doesn't know how to converse with the type of person other than using logic.
Diluc knew pretty much everyone who lived in Mondstadt, and yet he's never see you around before. To his surprise, you knew Lisa already. And judging by the way you said 'Ms.', he outta thought you were one of her disciples.
Did you know Jean as well? What about the traveler? He couldn't help but wonder in case you possibly could've been a threat to Mondstadt. But from what he's gathered just from how you were acting, he soon dropped the suspicion.
He was about walk away, when his foot brushed against what appeared to be a sketchbook. He picked it up, realizing you probably hadn't seen it. Diluc picked up the sketchbook. He was going to try to catch up to you to return it, but you were already gone.
