Diluc was lying down on his mattress. He stared at his ceiling, unable to get the recent event out of his head. He recalled the moment you told him 'Stop', and how you tried to get him away. It stung, but he got a taste of his own medicine.

As much as he tried to deny it, all he wanted right now was to hold you, and comfort you.

Diluc brought his hands to his head. 'Was I really too harsh?' He thought. Yet again, he shoved these thoughts away. It's best to approach the situation coldly, as it would be easier for you to just move on and get over him; it would be easier for him, as well.

Diluc groaned. This is why he never involved himself with relationships. He doesn't need the added stress.

The problem is, he does have feelings for you, which is why he decided to follow through what he did. He only told himself.

He had no idea what he was thinking that night you two spent together. He just wasn't thinking straight. On one half he regrets it, wanting to take back the moments before he'd grow that emotional attachment.

But...

The thoughts of finally have someone to hold, someone whom he can share his affection with —Deep down, he yearned for it. Yet he locked these feelings away.

Diluc felt another headache coming along. The conflicting emotions were keeping him awake. He got up from his bed and tied his hair. If he can't sleep, he might as well find something else to distract himself. He made his way inside his office, and sat down, starting on some paperwork. And yet, the thought of you still lingered on the back of his head.

Another two hours passed by until he'd fallen asleep, head leaning on his hand.

"Master Diluc? Are you in there?" A few knocks are heard outside of his office door. It was one his maids, Adelinde.

Diluc was quick to wake up and looked around groggily. She sent another knock, which seemed to have snap him back into current circumstances. He straightened up, retied his hair, and cleared his throat. "Come in." He spoke.

Adelinde opened the door. And much to his surprise, Lisa walked in with her arms crossed. "Thank you, Adelinde. I'd like to privately chat with him." Lisa sweetly to her. "Of course." She said, leaving and closing the door.

As soon as she left, she turned to look at Diluc. She gave him a serious look; the aura behind her eyes was a bit menacing, and it sort of intimidated him.

"I'm sure you know what I came to talk to you about." She says. Diluc stands up, and also crosses his arms. "This is about Y/n, correct? If you may, please refrain yourself from asking personal questions."

"I'll ask what's necessary to find out what happened." Lisa says.

"Well, I was only trying to help her." He says. "I didn't know I was making things worse."

Lisa sighs in disappointment. "With all due respect, Master Diluc, don't stall. We both know why I'm here. " she says. "I'd like for you to get straight to the point." She continues.

"I don't know what you're talking about." Diluc says. "Whatever happened is between me and her. It's nobody else's business."

"So, something did happen?" Lisa confirms.
