Silence passes as the two only stare at each other; none of you had moved a muscle. Diluc's gaze was colder than usual, and poor Aether only returned the look at him with confusion. It sort of...irritated Diluc.

"G-Guys...?" you mutter softly. They brush you off, both engrossed into the unspoken battle of who would look away first. Diluc's grip on your waist slightly tightened. You were getting quite uncomfortable in the position. If Aether were to let go, then you would fall back into Diluc. Whereas if he were to move away, Aether's hold would still prevent you from falling.

Aether didn't know what to do. Diluc never had a problem with him, everybody knows this; He even considers the traveler a friend. Even he knows that behind Diluc's cold exterior, there is a soft heart.

Aether had sort of connected the dots between you and the strawberry man, but he didn't want to assume. But again, he was making it kind of obvious at this point, and Aether wasn't doing anything wrong.

"You guys...walk so fast!" Paimon was short of breath. "I didn't actually mean to leave without Paimon-!"

"Uhhh," Paimon's dumbstruck at the sight of all three of you.

Realizing he's in public, Diluc was the first to pull back as he sighed. He adjusted his coat and crossed his arms, his usual nonchalant demeanor instantly coming back to him. Aether makes sure you're stable, before letting you go.

"Traveler." He nods at him. Diluc then walks away; making eye contact with you only for a mere second, as if he wanted to tell you something. "Geez, what was Mister McGrumpy pants all about?" Paimon asks.

"Thank you for walking me, I'll be happy to make it up to you anytime!" you smile at him. "It's no big deal." Aether says. You wave at them as they leave, making your way through the large doors and into the library.

As you walk in, the smell of brewed tea hits your nostrils. "Y/n! Haven't seen you come here in a while." She speaks. "Good afternoon, Ms Lisa. Uhm... I wanted to ask you something." She hums softly, implying for you to continue.

"Well, it's about... Diluc." You said, not wanting to make eye contact. "I just wanted to know..." you pause. "If he had any...past relationships."

Lisa looks at the "bruises" on your neck. Your hair didn't do much of a good job of covering those up. "Oh? Well, there's not much I can tell you about him." She says. She walks up to her desk and pours herself a small cup of tea. "Master Diluc is very secretive about his personal life. If anything, you should ask Kaeya."

"K-Kaeya? You mean the man with the eyepatch?" You say with a hint of panic. "I-Is there anyone else I can ask?" Lisa chuckles. "I see you've come across his charming persona. But yes, if you really want to know about this topic, you should ask him. They are brothers, after all."

Hold on...WHAT?!

You're shocked. You never would've guessed that they were siblings. Plus, from what you've seen, Diluc always looks like he wants to strangle the living daylight out of him every time Kaeya opens his mouth. But I guess that makes more sense.

"Sorry I couldn't be much of help, sweetie. But do tell me, and I want you to be completely honest with me," she switches into a more serious tone, which makes you get a little nervous.

"Did you sleep together?" She says bluntly. The sudden question startled you.

"W-Well..." you hesitate, but it's not like you didn't trust her enough to tell her though. "There's no point in hiding it. Those marks on your neck would tell me otherwise, sweetie." She chuckles. You fidget with your hands. Your hands fly to your neck once again. 

"We did, uhm, sleep together. It was last night actually..." you say softly whilst rubbing your arm. Lisa lets out a 'hm' with her eyebrows raised. Even if it was obvious, she was quite astonished.

"What...?" You say. She wasn't responding and only stared at you with an amused expression. "Ms Lisa...s-say something!" You felt judged, but that was only you.

"Hm, it's just hard to believe since Master Diluc is so distant. He doesn't break down those walls for just anyone." She says. She walks behind her desk and takes a seat.

You wanted to be with Diluc, you're sure of it. But you don't know if he wants the same. Diluc has his reasons. You visibly upset at the thought.

"Y/n, are you alright?" Lisa asks. You snap back into reality when you heard her voice. "Ah, yes. I just zoned out for a bit, sorry." You sigh. She obviously didn't believe you, but she wasn't going to push it.

"I'll try to ask Kaeya though, thank you Ms Lisa." You said as she smiles at you.

You leave the building. You kind of didn't want to talk to Kaeya; he makes you too nervous for your own good, but you sort of needed to.

Nevertheless, you made your way home. You wanted to snuggle up with Mochi and lose yourself in some corny romance book. (like this fanfic that you guys for some reason keep reading)

You decide to stop by General Goods, just to get some quick things that you needed at home. The kind woman hands you your things. You were about to take out a few mora until a tiny pouch is dropped in front of you.

"Good afternoon, Blanche. I'll pay for it," a smooth voice said. You look up next to you to find the tall flirtatious captain, with a closed eye smile.  Well, at least you didn't have to look for him anymore.

"Oh! Uhm, no it's okay!" You said while you put your hand out. Kaeya placed an arm around your shoulder, and you tensed up. He lets out a dry chuckle, pushes the pouch towards her and makes you turn around as he does. Blanche stands there, confused of what just happened but just shrugs it off.

The both of you start walking, his arm around your shoulder forcing you to walk with him, as well. "W-Wait but my-"

You're cut off when he brings his other hand up, showing you the bag of groceries. "So, Y/n, I've been meaning to talk to you darling." He says. The little nickname he has for you makes you blush.

That reminds you, you wanted to ask him something about Diluc. But on second thought, maybe you'll just reconsider. Kaeya is intimidating.

"I'm sorry but..." you grab his arm on your shoulder, awkwardly lifting it and back away from him. "I
r-really, really have to get going" you give an apologetic smile, hoping he would buy it. But we all know he's way too smart to be deceived.

"Oh? You're not trying to get away from me,
are you? Do you not like me Y/n? I thought we had something, darling." Kaeya gives a fake frown, placing a hand over his chest as if he was hurt. He knew you would take it seriously, and you did.

"Ah! N-No it's nothing like that!" You frantically start waving your hands in denial. Kaeya stares at you in amusement, just enjoying your reaction.
"It's just that I really need to get home, a-and uhm, get things done!"

"Hm? Then I'll help you with what you need to do. I won't just leave a lady without assistance." He states, taking a few steps in front of you. Your eyes widen, he's really not letting you off so easily. "But-"

"Is he bothering you, Y/n?"

Diluc pops up out of nowhere. You really have a tendency of getting interrupted.
