This was bad. Real bad

  You were currently lying on your bed, staring at your ceiling. The only source of light was coming from the moonlight sky and Mochi was comfortably sleeping on the foot of your bed. Ever since the other day of Lisa's teasing, the certain strawberry mind has been living in your head rent-free.

What are you thinking Y/N? He's probably taken or something.

And while you scolded yourself for being so head over heels over him, you still hoped for there to a tiny chance he was fond over you.

You've barely known the guy for a few weeks already. Whenever you would cross paths in the city, it would result in both of you having a tiny conversation like 'How are you?' and 'How has your business been going?'. The conversation would seem one sided since he would mostly be the one to initiate it, but Diluc already knows that you're obviously just shy.

Other times, when you happened to see him discussing some things with Charles, you would bashfully smile and wave. He would give you the faintest smile and nod. One would only notice this if they were to capture the moment of his face and paid very much attention to his facial muscles. I guess you could say you were in between being 'acquaintances' and 'friends.'

  Forcing your eyes shut, it takes you a full hour to eventually fall asleep.

I'm never gonna get this done.

You sobbed in your head. Lisa had assigned you to summarize a book for her. It was a romance book where two opposites attract. The book was somewhat complicated and confusing. Plus, Lisa knew what she was doing when she assigned you that book. In return for summarizing it, she promised you you could dodge the next event that involved you having to socialize.

However, if you didn't get this done, let's just say you'll become a mute if you ever had to do what she was threatening to make you do.

Why couldn't Lisa do it herself, you ask? Well, there were 3 reasons as to why she wanted you to do it.

The first reason? she just wanted to tease you.
The second reason? She actually doesn't have time to complete it due to having to deal with paperwork.
The third reason? Well, you're about to find out.

A few knocks were heard from outside your door.

It's the weekend. I thought I had a sign out there saying I'm closed.

Sighing, you lazily get up and open the door. "Sorry but the bookstore is clos-"

Your brain stutters once you look up to see the taller figure in front of you. "Y/N, Good Afternoo-"
Diluc was interrupted to you slamming the door in his face.
