"Is he bothering you, Y/n?"

Diluc comes to stand a few steps behind you as he crosses his arms. To think that Kaeya could possibly be bothering you made his lip curl. He looked at him, already showing agitation in his eyes, yet he remained composed.

"Ah- No! He was just- "

"Me and Y/n were just about to head out together, isn't that right doll?" He turns to you and smiles.

"Well, uhm- "

"Really? Because it appears to me that she's just trying to peacefully go on with her day, without any annoyance." Diluc enunciates that last word.

Kaeya huffs out a short laugh. "It's more like me and Y/n were having a wonderful time, and then, you, decide to show up, interrupting the moment. The only disturbance here is you."

"N-Now, hold on- "

"Do not put words in her mouth." Diluc spits out in a warning tone as he takes a few steps forward. "She was being clear that she wasn't enjoying your company."

"I-I don't mean to come off like tha- "

"Heh. Well obviously, you were misreading the situation. You're always so ignorant and naive when it comes to romance." Kaeya puts his hands on his hips. "It's no wonder you haven't found someone yet, quite sad truthfully."

Oh geez, now he's just insulting the man.

"Excuse me?" Diluc takes a step closer. Of course, Kaeya isn't one to back down, so he also takes a step forward.

"I recommend keeping your mind from wandering about my personal business, or you'll cause unwanted consequences." Diluc takes another step forward.

"Oh? Is Master Diluc threatening me? I like the challenge." Kaeya also takes another step forward. The nearer they got, the less space was between all of you. You were starting to get trapped in between the two men.

"G-Guys I think we should back up a littl- "

"Besides, am I wrong? Or do we have to recall the moments at the tavern? Poor Y/n was heartbroken." Kaeya then looks down at you. "I can surely treat you 10x better than the red bag of coal over here, darling."

"H-Huh?!" Kaeya moves his hand to cup your chin. But before his hand could make contact, Diluc swiftly steps closer and reaches his arm over your shoulder, from behind. He stops Kaeya's hand with a tight grip on his wrist. The sudden action makes you flinch.

"Hands to yourself." This takes Kaeya by surprise. Clearly, he struck one of Diluc's nerves, but he hadn't expected him to do that. Kaeya looks up at Diluc to be met with a menacing glare. A glare that's telling him to back off, or else.

To be fair, it did kind of intimidate Kaeya. But this was only for a split second as he equally returned the glare. Now you were awkwardly standing between them as the heat of the atmosphere grew more seemingly dangerous.

Why does this keep happening to you?

"This is...interesting, no? Did I manage to cut through that tough skin of yours, Master Diluc?" Kaeya was provoking him. The more he did, the more Diluc was would not hesitate to throw a fist.
