"Thank you so much for stopping by! Please do come again!"

You sigh as the satisfied customer leaves. You've gotten a few stops by every now and then, but not enough to say your business was flourishing.

It's been a week since the get-together. After closing your shop for the day, you've spent your days reading under the shade of a tree, baking, or overall, anything to fill your free time; You were quite the hobbyist. Lisa has been pretty busy lately; she has warned you beforehand in case you wanted to hang out with her during the week. It was a very boring Sunday, and you don't work on weekends, so you decided you wanted to have a cute little picnic. And with that, you grabbed a light blanket and a basket and headed off.

-

You passed through the city gates, walking through the busy streets. On your way, you saw who appeared to be...Diluc? Talking to strawberry-blond, pink haired girl? She was a bit taller than you and she was cute, too. Diluc had that same apathetic expression you've only seen him have. He had his arms crossed.

You didn't really think much of it until you saw the young woman comfortably place her hand on his arm.

Oh... I guess it might be his girlfriend? Or maybe just a friend?

Feeling a little down, you quickly kept walking. You weren't going to lie, you did have a small crush on the man. But you figure it wouldn't take long for it to pass once you've seen him with the said girl.

Arriving at General Goods, you grab a few strawberries and apples and put them in a brown paper bag. "Thank you for shopping!" Blanche says. Since you already had your food, all you were missing were some extra fruits on the side. Exiting past the city gates, you were halfway past the stone bridge. When suddenly, literally out of nowhere, your foot was blocked in mid-stride. You've just tripped over a stone. Really.

You landed on your knees. Luckily, no scrapes were made. Wiping any tiny pebbles off your hands, you reach to pick up one of the apples, only to have a gloved hand pick it up before you could.

"You should really start being more careful." A familiar deep, monotone voice was said from above you.

You look up to see Diluc kneeling down to your level, grabbing the paper bag and picking up the rest of the apples. You still couldn't help your heart from skipping a beat, feeling it was wrong for you to feel these things considering he could possibly have a girlfriend'. And yet, when he stuck out his hand to help you up, you still couldn't help but blush from the simple contact of his gloved hand touching yours.

How giddy of you

"D-Diluc! Thank you..." you timidly smiled. Diluc only nodded and handed you your bag. A few seconds passed of silence, trying to think of something to say.

.....

awkward

"Well...I'm gonna get going now, heh." You say as you walk past him. The silence was a unbearable for you, and it didn't help that the man only stood there not even trying to start a conversation. You began slowly taking steps away from him, but his voice made you halt. "If you're going to be out, be cautious of your surroundings. Especially if you are going by yourself." He says assertively. He wants to make sure anybody living in Mondstadt would be safe and secure, he is the dark-knight hero after all.

"Ah! I'll be fine." You say while quickly scurrying away. Diluc only kept staring at you as you walked away, with his eyebrow raised skeptically.

"Finally," you say as you spread your blanket down under the tree shade. Over the time of walking to Starfell Lake, the sun was just starting to set, but the scenery was wonderful as the sky was changing every minute. The golden rays were just barely starting to graze the surface of the lake.

You take out the mini sandwiches and start eating, feeling content. You take out a book and start reading as you you leaned against the tree trunk.
You were yet reading another romance book. Reading romance often reminds you of your own love life. You always try to recall if you ever even had been in a serious relationship before. And only one ever comes to mind.

It was during your teenage years, and he was your first and only kiss, which is kinda sad now that you think about it. It was going great for awhile, until you guys broke up. He ended things with you, claiming the relationship was 'too boring'. In reality, he simply had feelings for someone else. He could've just said that instead of blatantly lying and having you see him holding hands with another girl, but he didn't.

Not wanting to think of it anymore, you picked up a strawberry and took a bite, your mood instantly lifting for each bite you took.

Time seemed to pass quickly as you flipped through the pages of your book. It wasn't until you heard a few rustling of grass behind you, followed by chattering of voices that made you realize of your surroundings. The sound of voices multiplied, to which you finally peak behind the tree to check what was all the noise.

Huh?! T-The Fatui?! Why are there so many of them?!

You were surprised and scared to see the group of Fatui all in one spot. You don't own a vision, and you don't even know anything about self defense for goodness sake.

Its already a little dark. They shouldn't be able to see you well, but the possibility was still there. With your breathing accelerating and your hands shaking from fear of getting seen, you quickly shoved your blanket into your basket with the leftover fruit. You quietly tried speed-walking away, only to realize you almost left your book behind.

Crap! My Book! It's one of my favorites I can't leave it behind!

Carefully tracing your steps, you successfully get your book, and sigh from relief.  Only, taking one step ahead of you -
