"C'mon Mochi... get the spider and I'll bring you treats when I get back."

You stood on your tippy-toes that on top of 3 stacked thick books and stool, all while having Mochi lifted up to kill spider that was hiding in between some books. The tiny bastard popped up out of nowhere, and there was no way you were letting it live here and make tiny and just be disgusting.

Just the thought of the insect freak already gave you the creepy crawlies, and you were already feeling paranoid about it.

You're supposed to be having dinner with Diluc today, and surely you were nervous out if your mind. You picked out a cute, flowy dress that wasn't too formal and wasn't too casual since he didn't really tell you what to wear, but you still wanted to look good.

"It's right there! Mochi get it - Gah!"

Your balance stumbles when Mochi spots the spider and tries to go at it with her paws. You sigh in relief when you recover. But unfortunately, the spider was nowhere to be seen.

That little bastard is not going to get away from you. So you raise Mochi higher and step closer to the edge.

"Y/n?"

"H-Huh?! Ah-!"

You had no idea Diluc was going to come for you —You hadn't even heard him walk in, so the sound of his voice startled you and made you jump which then caused you to lose your footing.

Of course, he was quick to his reactions and already coming to catch you, but not ready enough for the impact. You both hit the floor with a big 'thud', him landing above you with one arm holding himself up to not crush you.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" He asks while you groan in pain. But when you opened your eyes, you flinch and yelp while backing away from him. Diluc's eyes widened, "Y/n...are you alright?"

"Diluc... don't... move." You said, your hand reaching out behind you and grabbing a hard-cover book before you slowly crawled towards him — eyes locked on the spider that was standing still on his head.

"Y/n, what's going o-"

He stops talking once you start raising the book up.

"Y/n." He says, trying to get your attention. You ignore his saying, too focused on killing the insect. Diluc slowly moves back until the wall blocks him from going any further. You slowly crawl above him,

"Just...hold ssttilll..." You raise the book higher and get ready to strike — and then the realization hit him that you were really about to him with the book. And just when he realized it, his vision is blocked by something furry.

"Oh my gods! Mochi! Stop it!"
