THAMSANQA
"MaNdlandla, until when are you planning on being mad at me?", ask as I pull over at the robot.
We've been silent ever since we left the hospital and I really don't enjoy being in quiet spaces, at least not with her around. Her being this distant is slowly killing me because I don't know exactly what to do to make things right.
I tried talking to her about the Maria situation after I told her what happened because I thought she would have calm down. Well unfortunately for me, she didn't want to speak on the matter until now. So my frustration is valid because I don't know where to from here.
"Until I feel like it, Thamsanqa.", she responds.
Thamsanqa huh, well that stamps it. She's super pissed and I'm afraid there is nothing much I can do at this point. I let out a sigh as we continue the drive to my place while listening to the music playing on the radio.
We pull up in the driveway way and it's empty. These people sure did a great job in planning this surprise party too bad I already informed Buso about it. I mean... it was the right thing to do, in my opinion that is. I park the car in the garage and quickly rush to open the door for her.
"Thank you.", she says as she steps out.
I nod in response and we go inside the house. We can hear little whispers as we move further into the house, until it goes completely silemt. I chuckle at their doings because there's absolutely no surprising my woman right now. I just hope she can at least get to enjoy this beautiful celebration they have made for her.
Immediately when we enter the lounge all the people yell, "SURPRISE!!"
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would fall in love with an actress, but here we are. "Oh my gosh you guys! Thank you so much.", Buso exclaims. This is definitely not the same woman I entered through those doors with.
She genuinely looks happy as she goes around hugging her friends and Gogo, who came with Nikiwe. The smile on their faces as well is so priceless and I wish we coyld all just stay in this moment forever. I greet the guests as well before going to drop off the bag in my room and head back downstairs.
The ladies are already in the kitchen probably gossiping, but hey that's none of my business. Then Gogo is in the living room watching some show on Moja Love. I swear, if I cpuld get rid off a channel on DSTV, this channel would definitely be my number one pick.
"Gogo, ukahle? (Granny, are you okay?)" , I ask as I settle on the seat opposite hers.
"Ngikahle mfan'wam, wena unjani? (I'm good my boy, and how are you?)", she smiles.
"I'm okay Gogo. I just wanted to know if you needed anything?"
"No, I'm okay thank you. You go on and be with your friends.", she says waving me off.
I nod and go outside to the guys already seated on chairs not far from each other. I settle down next to my brother and I grab a bottle of Heineken. After popping it open, I chug half of it down and burp.
" Ja gents, zithini? (hey gents, what's up?)", I ask.
"Hayi man Thamsanqa. Uyasibhodlela la bese uzosibuza leyento!? (No man Thamsanqa. You busy burping like that then you want to ask us that?)", Zamani says.
We all laugh at his reaction because he's being way too dramatic if you ask me. I apologize because I'm a hundred percent sure he won't let it go until I do so, and it's better I do so now.
" So Lu, how is it going?", I ask Lukhanyo.
" Well I've managed to finally track down where all the dealings take place and how many times they meet up a week. The operation they are running is a major one and we will need more help than we anticipated to take them down for good.", he replies.
I let out a sigh, "I think I expected that and that is what's stressing me out right now. This task will not be an easy one and some of us might not make it. That's why I need people who are willing to go an extra length with me. I don't want to pressure you guys into anything so I understand if you're not willing to risk so much for this battle."
It's quiet as the guys take in what I had to say to them. I mean, they all have valuable things or people to lose and I can't expect any of them to sacrifice it all for my sake. This is a big risk as we'll all be gambling with our lives as well as our loved ones so I knew whatever decision they make, it won't be an easy one.
"I'm your brother so there is no questioning whether I'm with you or not. I'll be with you until the end.", Zamani shakes my hand.
"I think I speak for the rest of us when I say, we are all in. There's no way we'd let you go into war alone without an army. We got you until we defeat those bastards which I'm positive we will.", Zanothando pats my shoulder.
I smile and thank them for having my back. I don't take what they are doing for me for granted because not many people would put so much on the line for a person they barely even know. Oh and not to mention how Lukhanyo has been since he has started helping out.
I consider him a friend because he's proven to not only be helpful, but loyal as well. He jokes around a lot but he goes above and beyond for the people in his circle. I know this because I am proof of how he is, using all his resources to find this psychotic bitch and her father.
This will be a big step for all of us... that is if we manage to take them all down at the same time. We have been planning this for a while now and I feel like all we need to do is add a bit more people to our army, then we can attack. Of course, it has to be people we trust wholeheartedly or our mission will not be successful.
"To us doing the most on our mission.", Zano raises a toast.
"To us!", we all reply.
