ZANOTHANDO

It has been a hectic three months planning this mission and I'm glad we are finally going to be able to carry it out. The wait has been too long and I don't think that was the best thing for us to do but we had to make sure we have a full proof plan before starting any kind of war.

We also had to postpone it because of the return of Nombuso from the hospital two months ago. She nearly lost her life which would have been a hard pill to swallow for all of us and that's why we needed to make sure she's healed enough to run and seek safety if need be.

But now that everyone is in good spirits and is healthy, we are taking this initiative to get rid of the cartel for good. Not only will this be beneficial for us but for our country as well. The kind of business they are running is a deadly one because it involves human trafficking as well as dealing with drugs.

Our youth is getting very addicted on drugs that not only destroy their lives but also cost them a fortune. This isn return makes them steal from their homes or from their loved ones just to satisfy their craving for the drug.

I believe that they have gotten away with all these illegal doibgs for way too long and the justice system in this country has failed us. These people have the police on their payroll so there is no way we could go to them and ask for help or anything of that kind. So we know that as we journey off to this mission, we are alone and have no protection.

If things go south, we are in a lot of shit because we will get arrested if not killed. So I need to make sure that all my affairs are in order in case I don't make it back because I'm dead or if I go to jail. Either way, I need everything in order so that I don't stress from wherever I'll be.

This entire thing will be going down two days from now so I know all the guys are all getting their things in place. My first stop has to be at my parents place before going to see Nikiwe. I need to spend some time with them since tomorrow is not promised.

I've also asked Nikiwe to take a day off from work tomorrow so we can get to spend the entire day together. It would be unfair that I don't spend what could be the last moments of my life with her. Not only would I regret it, I know she'd feel guilty as to why she didn't spend more time with me.

At the end of the day, I know why I'm taking part in this. This is for all of us to be free from the chains of fear of the unknown. If we let what happened slide, they'll continue to attack and attack, until one of our loved ones are caught in the crossfire. And that is just something we can't let happen.

So my brother and I are going to the parents, just us alone and not with our partners. We need some to bond with them and to just let them know how much we love and appreciate them. They sacrificed so much for us to get to where we are and we do not take it lightly.

My father being the man he is, who hardly shows emotions, won't say that he loves us but we both know he does. We became his only children when my little sister passed on from a car accident. He was the one driving and he was with both her and Lukhanyo.

The father I knew before that was gone forever in just one night. He blames himself for what happened that night even though he had no control over it. Apparently when they had went inside the shops, someone tampered with his car brakes and as they headed back on the road, the car crashed into others at the stoplights.

Only Lukhanyo and him were able to make it out alive but unfortunately, that wasn't the same fate for my sister. Her name was Celiwe and they had named her that because they had asked God for a girl for too long until HE blessed them with her. The pain of her loss was always felt and my parents never enjoyed speaking of her ever since.
