Marie

Theo sat at the edge of the training ground and watched Marie try to improve her technique. Marie was ambitious. She wanted to be the best. In both courses. At first, she did not pay attention to her servant so as not to lose focus, but after some time her gaze wandered to the red-haired elf.

Theo had grown a lot in recent years. He was now taller than Marie, but still very slim and a bit lanky. And he was attractive. Marie couldn't keep her eyes off him for too long. Finally, she gave up and sat down with him.

"Phew. You smell like sweat!", he complained with a provocative grin. "Is that the smell of success?"

"I hope so!" Marie stroked her sweaty hair. "I don't want to stink for no reason!"

"You stink of success." Theo sighed. "Don't worry. You can do it. Even without smelling so pathetic! Go and wash yourself, beautiful skunk!"

"Skunk!" Marie laughed. Why had she turned Theo away at the time? Would he give her a second chance? But Theo was a bound servant. That was not a good start for a relationship. She did not want to use him, like a thing.

But Marie was attracted to him. She loved his snow-white skin, dark red hair, and many freckles. Especially his freckles.

Lea

The teachers were worried. Rumors were circulating among the students. Rumors of a secret organization that secretly taught the young witches and wizards how to use magic. Far from the walls of the Academy. Far from their rules and requirements. It was said that they would learn forbidden spells there, such as controlling the dead.

The teachers, on the other hand, feared abductions and the parents demanded that their children be found. The queen had also been informed and instructed her soldiers to search for the students.

So far, they had not been found.

Instead, students gradually disappeared from class. Especially from the second and third year. Everyone was worried.

When and how did they leave school? Guards were posted in front of the gate, a few even on the wall, and an anti-magic rampart lay on the high walls. How?

Lea wondered if she should let someone keep watch. Maybe Shay? Or her two teenagers? And... If she knew the secret escape route, should she follow the students?

Julia

Josefine sat in front of their tent and pouted. Next to her sat Finn, Marko, Leopold, and Peter, who were skeptical about what was happening. Fiete had taken his dragon form and sat patiently in the tall grass. Julia looked at him nervously.

"And you really want me to get on your back and... Hold on to somewhere?"

The dragon nodded.

"I don't know... I could fall..."

Fiete rolled his eyes and nudged her with one of his wings.

"Shall we get you a rope?", called Peter to them. Fiete just snorted.

"I think that would be good," Julia agreed. "Otherwise, it's too risky for me."

A short time later, Peter carefully tied a rope around Fiete's neck, which Julia could hold onto. Discouraged, Fiete allowed it, but he took the chance to lick Peter's face with his big tongue. "Fiete!", he complained. "If you do something like that, I'll never kiss you again!"

This threat seemed to bring the dragon to reason. Insulted, he snorted.

"That could work...", Julia murmured and looked at the rope. " You fly slowly? Fiete?"

Fiete nodded and lay down on the grass so she could climb on his back. In the background, Finn and Marko teased the angry Josefine together. The dragon girl threatened to eat them for breakfast. Meanwhile, Elodie, Hanno, and Flora were also interested in the first flight lesson. Just like Sofia, Pepe, and his father Liam, as well as some of the centaurs.

Julia would fly with an audience. Hopefully, I won't embarrass myself... Is it truly safe?

"Shall I help you up?", asked Peter. Fiete snorted and rolled his eyes. He nudged Julia again with his wing.

She sighed, smoothed out her clothes, held on to his wing, and used his left front leg to climb onto his back. Peter took care that she did not fall. Julia grabbed the rope and held on to it. "Ok. I hope that works. Won't I choke you with it, Fiete?" After all, the rope was tied to his neck. Fiete snorted again. This time he sounded amused.

"Good. Then let's try it!" Julia took a deep breath as Peter hurried out of the way and to the audience. Fiete got up very slowly. Julia clung to the rope and closed her eyes nervously. The mighty dragon started moving. She felt him move his feathered wings and take off. Frightened, she clung to the rope as hard as she could and pressed her cheek to his neck. It was shaky, but they were in the air.

Julia felt the wind hiss past her. Astonished, she opened her eyes and watched as Fiete flew higher and higher. She almost felt dizzy. She pressed herself tighter against his warm, velvety neck. "Wow!"

Fiete snorted in confirmation. As promised, he flew slowly. But even that was very fast, and Julia had trouble holding on. But she never wanted to give up this feeling of freedom again. "Is flying always like this?", she shouted against the merciless, cold wind.

Fiete grumbled contentedly and made her smile.

After a few minutes, Fiete landed. Limp and overwhelmed, she held on to him.

"And?" Peter and Leopold came running towards them. Leopold flew to her and caught her as she stepped off Fiete's back, exhausted. The short flight had been hard.

"It was great!", she said happily. "I never want to travel any other way!"

"I can imagine that!", the elf agreed, kissing her forehead. Julia wrapped her arms around his neck.
