Julia
"WOW!" Peter sat in front of Julia on Fiete's back. The mountains of dragons piled up in front of them. Up close, it was a breathtaking sight. The stone shimmered in orange, yellow, and red in the bright sun. They could spot caves and dragons flying between the steep cliffs or climbing along the cliffs.
Julia had never seen anything like it.
Trixi flew forward. Her bright scales sparkled in the sunlight. White dragons were beautiful. The white feathers of their wings shone in bright white, and their scales sparkled in all the colors of the rainbow in the light of the desert sun.
Fiete grumbled happily. His whole body vibrated as a result. Julia pressed her face against Peter's back and closed her eyes. As wonderful as the view was, she would soon face a group of dragons.
Her nervousness increased when Fiete landed.
Fiete landed in front of a large cave to which Trixi had led them. Two more dragons were waiting for them, which had already taken the form of humans. Another lady and a man. The two looked very much like Trixi. They seemed no older than Fiete, but there was ancient wisdom in their eyes.
Julia and Peter climbed off Fiete's back. Anxiously, Peter reached for Julia's hand. Fiete took on human form and embraced the two protectively. In the meantime, Trixi had also taken on human form again and introduced the group to each other. Julia and Peter learned that the other two dragons, Bibi and Weiko, were Trixi's siblings.
The two looked at Julia and Peter skeptically. A pair of dragons looked curiously at them from their caves. They could hear the indignant cry of a dragon coming from somewhere.
"So, this is the little witch who has tied two dragons to her." Weiko sniffed the air. "I was a little nervous that our magic might also react to hers, but all is well."
Bibi nodded with a grin. "And the husband." She looked at Fiete. "This is actually something we didn't expect. You have chosen a human?"
"He's beautiful." Fiete shrugged his shoulders and kissed Peter's hair. Peter blushed.
"Good. Shall we?" Trixi pointed to the cave. "It would be inconvenient to talk out here. Within a few seconds, every dragon would know everything. Even what should remain secret. If there is anything." She looked at her spectators. The dragons snorted indignantly and flew away.
Julia, Peter, and Fiete followed the three old dragons into the cave. It was brighter than Julia expected. Sand-colored stone glistened in the light of the sun coming through the large entrance.
There were no furnishings, but that did not surprise Julia. She admired a painting that had been painted with red paint on one of the cave walls. The picture showed several dragons standing together in a circle. Was this cave a kind of conference room?
"Well, little witch?" Weiko smiled reservedly at her, showing his pointed teeth. "You're asking us to let you and your friends, including a half-black dragon, cross our mountains? You want to go to the harpies, yes? And you base your request on visions?"
Fiete reached for Julia's hand while Peter put his arm over her shoulders. "Yes", she said anxiously. White dragons were dangerous too. "A war will come. A war that endangers us all. Humans, elves, werewolves, centaurs, sirens, harpies, and dragons. I have to go to the harpies. They are waiting for us."
"Can you prove that you are a seer? It's not enough for us to rely only on your words. Many of us do not want a black dragon in our midst. Without proof, we cannot welcome you." Bibi crossed her arms. "Without proof, we must ask you to return with your group. Before you become a snack."
