4. breaking her

"Wae?"

Kang Soojin first met Han Seojun when she came over to Suho's house to get the notes he made. She was down with fever and yet had to study so she would score the highest and Suho's notes were always second best.

Her notes were supreme.

It was a pinkish evening, and Soojin overhead laughter and music when the staff opened the door for her. Being treated as royalty was what Soojin was accustomed to, and she asked for Suho right away to the kind lady who would tend to Suho ever since he was little. She asked her to wait while she'd fetch for the boy and Soojin did just that, always the good girl.

Being bad came with dire consequences, and 13 year old Soojin knew that.

"Ya Suho, what is this smelly thing in your refridgerat-" Han Seojun stopped yelling when he came across a girl sitting on the sofa. "Who are you?"

One thing about Soojin, she was polite when she was spoken with respect and brutal when not.

"Who are you?"

"Ya," Han Seojun narrowed his gaze at the girl, "I asked you first."

"So?" She shrugged, still seated, that was what she was told. "I'm not answerable to you."

"Well..." Seojun was lost for words, as he eyed the very sassy girl, "wait, what does answerable mean?"

"Aish..."

"Why should I team up with you?"

Soojin was already losing it, the class was now observing them and she could feel the hot gaze of Suho and Jugyeong on her. Seojun being arrogant wasn't helping her either.

"Well," She crossed her arms, standing two feet apart just as always, "you were absent when the teams were formed and you don't have any team, like me. It's only logical if we team up."

Han Seojun scoffed, resting back in the chair and folding his arms, imitating the girl. "I don't care if I'm in no team." His casual shrug made Soojin stare at him, suprised.

"The marks get added to the final terms." She reasoned with the boy who shrugged again. "Chincha? You don't care about your score?"

Han Seojun tilted his head, "Ya Kang Soojin, just say please and I will think about being a part of your project." Soojin scowled, she hated being looked down at and more so by the wannabe gangster of their class.

"ya, Han Seojun," Soojin chuckled, shaking her head, this time the class and the stares didn't really matter. "You have another thing coming if you think I'd say please to you." Seojun watched the girl replicate his emotions, the clenched jaw, her furious eyes and that flaring nose. "You don't even have to work, I'll do the project by myself. And you get easy marks, I didn't think you'd be this dumb to not accept a profitable deal."

Soojin hit the right chord as Seojun sat upright, his looks and his intelligence was not something he liked being mocked at. "Arasseo," Seojun nodded, looking up at the girl, "but you owe me."

Soojin had already wasted five of her precious minutes behind this idiot to get him to agree and she didn't want to waste anymore time, so she agreed. "Arasseo." She replied and Seojun stood up, adjusting his uniform jacket he forwarded his hand towards the girl. "Shake on it."

"My word is final." Soojin glanced at his hand and then at him. "I don't have to shake your hand for this."

Seojun narrowed his gaze, withdrawing his hand, "cool, then you can kiss your marks goodb-" but Soojin immediately held his hand, groaning as she shook it.
